(Clearwisdom.net) A Dafa practitioner from Jilin Province who went to Beijing to validate Dafa several times has been brutally persecuted and tortured many times by the police. Later, he was illegally sentenced to 18 years in a Beijing prison because of making truth-clarifying literature in Beijing.

Even though he is the only practitioner in his family, his virtues and good conduct have helped his family to understand and support Dafa and practitioners. After he was illegally sentenced and imprisoned and could not contact his family, his family tried very hard to find out where he was.

Although this Dafa practitioner experienced all kinds of torture in prison, he firmly maintained his cultivation in Dafa. In order to "transform" this practitioner and to exploit some monetary benefits from his family, the police notified his family and told them to come to Beijing to visit him. Even though his family's financial condition was rather difficult, they somehow managed to scrape together the expenses for the very long trip to Beijing from a certain city in Jilin Province. After their arrival at the prison, the police tried to force the family to urge the practitioner to give up cultivation practice in Dafa. His family rejected the request right away because they know the truth of Dafa from the good changes and manifestations they had witnessed in this practitioner. The family wanted to meet him, so they gave a lot of money to the police officer in charge in order to see him. The police took advantage of this chance to extort a lot of money from the family, but later used many excuses to disallow their visit. The practitioner's family could do nothing but return to Jilin Province without seeing their family member.

The police wanted to use family affection to change the practitioner's determination to practice cultivation in Dafa. Worrying about his safety, his family would immediately come to Beijing to visit him upon receiving calls from the police to come. During these visits, the practitioner's family had a lot of money extorted by the police, but they still could not see him.

Not long ago, the practitioner's family was notified to come for the sixth time by the police. After his family arrived at the prison, the police still used all kinds of excuses to disallow their visit with the practitioner. The family was nearly financially ruined because of the money needed to pay for the expenses of six trips from Jilin Province to Beijing and for the extortion perpetrated by all levels of police. Several family members discussed the situation and decided that instead of indulging the police, they had to take legal action against them to bring their crimes to an end. After all, it is not a crime that their family member in prison simply wanted to practice cultivation in Dafa and to learn to be a good person!

Several family members found the prison guard who had extorted money from them many times and requested again a meeting with the practitioner. The police said to them that if they could not urge their family member to be transformed and give up the practice of Falun Gong, then they would never be able to meet with him. At that time, these family members held the collar of the police officer's clothes very tightly and said to him that if he did not let them see him today, they would strip off his uniform completely.

Afraid that his crimes of extortion would be exposed, the guard hurried to say that everything could be discussed nicely. The practitioner's family members continued to insist that the guard let them see him today; not only that they must see him, but also they must be allowed to take him back to Jilin Province: "If you do not release him, we will expose all of your violations of the law as an officer in the jail, and expose your illegal conduct of extorting a great deal of our money; we will also report your crimes to your higher officers."

The prison guards were afraid that their crimes of persecuting Dafa practitioners and extorting money from the practitioners' families would be exposed and that they would be punished. So the police hurried to say that the family should wait while they held a meeting to discuss the request.

After a while, the family members were finally able to meet with their loved one. On the one hand, the police had no possibility of transforming this determined Dafa practitioner, and on the other hand, they were afraid that their criminal conduct would be exposed. At the same time, they were also afraid that the Dafa practitioner's family members would look further into the legal liability of the police's actions. Thus, the police not only let the Dafa practitioner and his family members meet, but they also contrived an excuse to release him.
