Improvements in Physical and Mental Health Come to an Elderly Man Practicing Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) I'm 74 years old now, and am very lucky to have become a practitioner of Falun Gong. I started in 1996 when Qigong was very popular and many people were practicing Falun Gong. In the morning, as soon as the exercise music was turned on, practitioners immediately lined up and the exercise movements were very orderly. Every practitioner was energetic and in high spirits. Because I was very happy doing the exercises, I got up before 5:00 a.m. so that I could reach the practice sit to begin the exercises at 5:30 a.m. Soon a lot of changes occurred in my body.

I had been a patient for a long time. In 1983, suffering from myocardial infarction, I was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment and stayed there for over a month. After I left the hospital my health situation declined. I was weak and unable to work. In 1994, the illness came back and I was sent to the hospital the Intensive Care Unit for three days. At last, I was alive again, but I stayed in the hospital for over a month, and then went home for convalescence.

Maybe I have a pre-destined relationship with Falun Dafa. One day when I was taking a walk outside, I heard about the group practice at the riverside. I wanted to learn very much. After I started practicing, soon great changes took place in my body. My breathing was no longer as difficult as before, and it gradually turned better and better. In 1996 when I obtained it, I practiced at home at the beginning. Later I went to the riverside to practice in the group, and joined the group Fa study. I got up early to practice the exercises, then went to the group Fa study in the afternoon, and kept doing this everyday. I quickly became a healthy person. How magic Falun Dafa is! I felt I had totally changed to another person, and I was very happy. The changes in my health situation over these years are too many to be told. It is a pity that my literacy is so limited that I am not able to express myself well. In these years, I've never been to the hospital and did not have to take any medicine. It is just this magical and I did not have any discomfort.

But on July 20, 1999, a terrible persecution started. The dark-minded Jiang Zemin does not allow us to practice the exercises. Several staff members from the street administration office came to charge me, and took my books away. Some practitioners were in tears and had no idea of what to do. However, a true cultivator would never give up and continue the practice as in the past. Practice outdoors was not allowed, so I practiced at home.

I haven't done well enough. When studying the Fa, I need to treat the Fa as the teacher and compare myself against the Fa standards. As soon as we realize our mistakes, we must rectify them at once. These are all the facts and are what Dafa practitioners must actually do every day, not just talk about.
