Severe Persecution Threatens The Lives of Practitioners Miao Cui, Zhang Lanhui and Zhang Lihong in Yueyang
(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners Miao Cui, Zhang Lanhui and Zhang
Lihong are from Yueyang City, Hunan Province. On June 21, 2003, they were
arrested after being reported to the police distributing flyers in Lijiaduan
Town of Miluo City, Hunan Province that contained the facts of the persecution
against Falun Dafa. Later the practitioners conducted a hunger strike to protest
the torture they had received and were released. On November 25, 2003, the chief
of Miluo National Security Office Wu Yuxin and Yang Dingqiu, along with the
director of police Yang Zhengqiu attempted to arrest these three practitioners
to carry on an illegal trial against them. They abducted Miao Cui and took her to the Xiangyin County Detention Center.
Three policemen tortured her during her detention there. They grabbed her neck,
almost choking her to death. They grabbed her hair with one hand and brutally
punched her in the face with another. Much of her hair was pulled from her head.
At present, Miao Cui has been vomitting blood and her whole body is swollen and
her life is in great danger from the complications cause by the torture she
received. She has been transferred from the Xiangyin County Detention Center to
the Xiangyin County Hospital for intraveneous infusion. The same day, practitioner Zhang Lihong was abducted and taken to the
Xiangyin County Detention Center by the Yueyang city police and "610
Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with
absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other
political and judiciary systems). She received the same brutal torture and
was transferred to the Xiangyin County Hospital to be treated. A doctor with the surname of Xu punched and kicked her until her forehead was
bruised and swollen and she eventually fell unconcious. She only awoke after
being administered oxygen and emergency treatment. Her teeth were loose and her
body was covered with bruises and swollen. She is very ill and vomitting and
discharging blood as a result of being tortured by authorties and doctors. Under these circumstances, the trial against these three practitioners was
