Ms. Gu Chuanying

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 23, 2003, perpetrators from Jianshelu Police Station abducted Dafa practitioner Ms. Gu Chuanying, from Chengdu City, Sichuan Province and sent her to the Chengdu City No. 1 Detention Center. They tortured Ms. Gu Chuanying there until she died of heart failure. On July 11, 2003, the authorities in the detention center told her family to take her home. Ms. Gu Chuanying passed away on December 24, 2003. The following account is her story:

Ms. Gu Chuanying, 65 years old, was a senior engineer at the Hongguang Electron Tubing Factory in Chengdu City who lived in East Court of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. On May 23, 2003, perpetrators from Jianshelu Police Station illegally arrested her and sent her to Chengdu City No.1 Detention Center in Pixian County. She held a hunger strike for more than one month. The guards force-fed her. She was also infected with scabies, developed heart failure and was on the brink of death. On July 11, 2003, the detention center authorities told her family to take her home. The scabies had spread all over her body by then and pus seeped out. Her whole body was swollen and she had difficulty breathing. As stated above, she passed away on December 24, 2003.

On July 20, 1999, in order to help restore Dafa's name and explain the facts about the persecution of Falun Dafa, Gu Chuanying went to Beijing to appeal and was detained several times at the Jiurucun Detention Center in Chengdu City. The perpetrators sent her to a brainwashing class against her will. It was set up in a hotel under the auspices of the Nanmusi Labor Camp. When harassed by people from the police station, the "610 Office," the neighborhood committee and street administration office, she persisted in her belief of Dafa. She also patiently told them the facts about Dafa and the persecution, and told them not to assist the evildoers and accompany Jiang Zemin on the path of self-destruction. Being a person who treated others with nothing but compassion, even under this savage persecution, Gu Chuanying was senselessly tortured to death.

A male official from the neighborhood committee for the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China confirmed Gu Chuanying's death.

We hope kind-hearted people will extend a helping hand in stopping this unprecedented persecution.
