(Clearwisdom.net) From December 29, 2003 to January 5, 2004, a fellow Falun Gong practitioner and I held a weeklong activity in Tunisia, Africa to introduce Falun Dafa. We first started our activity in the city of Sousse where we stayed. In the center of the city, we displayed two photo boards and materials in different languages. We then began to play Dafa music and send forth righteous thoughts. We didn't expect that even before we erected our palms in front of our chest, dozens of people would surround us, and in an instant, more and more people would gather around. So one of us began performing the exercises, and I handed out materials and introduced Falun Gong in English. Local people showed great interest in Chinese qigong and martial arts. Within a short while, hundreds of flyers had been handed out. Some people learned to practice the exercises on the spot. Within less than half an hour, several hundred flyers in Arabic were distributed. We also met with two visitors from Germany and Belgium who showed great interest in our exercises and asked how they could find Dafa practitioners in their countries. I was so pleased to be able to meet these predestined people here who came from afar.

On the second day we went to Tunis, a major city where the media outlets are located. We visited six international and local media outlets and gave each of them literature and materials in French and Arabic to introduce them to Falun Dafa and explain the truth. We also gave them truth-clarifying VCDs and music CDs in English. We presented exercise instruction VCDs to those who were interested. Two people showed great interest and had a long conversation with the practitioners. One of them listened to the Dafa music immediately after we gave it to him, and said it was beautiful; the other person visited our Dafa website and showed interest in practicing the exercises. He also kept the photos of practitioners' introducing Falun Dafa in Sushi. When we visited the sixth media outlet, we demonstrated the exercises. In the end, a lady invited us to her home nearby to visit. We taught her to practice the exercises.

Later, we went to two big cities to introduce Falun Dafa. In one of the cities, as soon as we practiced the exercises, several hundred people were attracted. We then visited the only media in the local area. At the beginning, the person in charge of the media was not interested, because he said the Chinese government is too strong. We sent forth righteous thoughts while clarifying the facts to them. He ultimately changed his attitude, and showed great interest in our activity in the city and kept some photos depicting our introduction to Falun Dafa.

There are still many more things worth remembering from our six-day experience, and the effect achieved was beyond our imagination.

We'd like to share with fellow practitioners our understanding and experience after the weeklong Fa-rectification activity.

1. The media is the key point for introducing Falun Dafa and explaining the facts, because the media is a country's important window of information. Moreover, Dafa practitioners usually travel for a short period of time to foreign countries to introduce Falun Dafa. If they can gain support from the media, it will play a good role in introducing Falun Dafa in the long run in a local area. At the same time, many media outlets know Falun Dafa, and they are waiting for us to explain the facts to them.
2. Do not ignore those predestined tourists when doing Fa-promotion activity, because they will probably obtain the Fa this way.
3. When performing the exercise in the public areas, it's better to inform the police, so that we leave no loopholes for the evil to take advantage of. If needed, the local police can help us keep order. Also, it is also a good opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa to the police.
4. For Dafa practitioners, language is not a problem, nor is the number of Dafa practitioners participating in the activity. Two persons are enough, but they have to cooperate well so that the evil will not easily take advantage of the loopholes.

Suggestions:

Make full preparation before the activity.

1. Arrange the itinerary so as to avoid unnecessary waste of time.
2. Prepare as many materials as possible in local languages and materials in several major languages, such as English, German, French, Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Korean. You don't need to have many materials in each language. It will be fine to have a certain amount of them.
3. Prepare at least two photo display boards with photos depicting large-scale exercise scenes in different countries. The boards do not have to be big, but must be clear and easy to carry.
4. Be sure to prepare VCDs of exercise instructions in foreign languages and CDs or tapes for practicing the exercises, in order to make it easy for people to learn the exercises by themselves.
5. Prepare more truth clarification materials for the media, such as VCDs and magazines.
6. Don't forget to bring Dafa music CDs. We found that they create great interest in the Chinese culture, and at the same time, it is also an opportunity for guiding them to obtain the Fa.
7. Finally, don't forget to bring the musical equipment and cushions for doing sitting meditation.

In addition, the media usually shows an interest in local news. So before we go to meet with the media staff, we prepared photos of introducing Dafa in the local areas. This can stimulate their interests.
