Our Fa Study Group

(Clearwisdom.net) Before July 20, 1999, the practice of Falun Dafa was widespread in China. You could find practitioners doing the exercises or studying the Fa in every corner of the country. In China alone there were 100 million people practicing Falun Gong. At that time, my spouse and I volunteered to set up a practice site at our home to help with group practice, Fa study, material distribution, and so on. In such an environment, everyone was cultivating solidly and steadfastly, our character improving gradually. It was just as Teacher said in Hong Yin, "Together forging ahead, Dafa disciples' futures are bright."

After Jiang Zemin abused his power and started persecuting Falun Gong, some people became afraid and left the group. However, the majority decided to take the path of cultivation, no matter how dangerous and complicated the circumstances might be. During the years following July 20, 1999, we have hung on to our faith in Teacher, we closely follow the Fa rectification progress, we have adopted more discreet means of keeping in touch with each other, and we keep studying the Fa and doing the exercises unmolested. At the same time, we safeguard and actively validate Falun Dafa, telling people the facts about practitioners being persecuted.

In Zhuan Falun, Teacher says: "We stress holistic improvement and holistic upgrade." Our group is one body. With Teacher being slandered and Falun Dafa being persecuted, we have let go of our human attachments and stepped forward from humanness. We all went to Beijing to validate the Fa. We were arrested, beaten up, and fined, but nothing could change our hearts.

When we went to Beijing, one elderly practitioner didn't go with us. The next day, she went to Beijing alone. She walked into Tiananmen Square calmly. Afterwards, she was taken to the Tiananmen police station. In the evening, the police beat her cruelly, leaving wounds all over her body. The police even burned the old woman's face and nostrils with sulfuric acid. However, they couldn't make her cooperate with their evil persecution or tell them her name or address. The police had no choice but to release her. When she returned home, her family could hardly recognize her because of all the injuries. Afterwards someone asked her whether she was frightened. She said, "With Teacher here, with the Fa here, there is nothing for me to be afraid of. Teacher says, 'If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist.' ('Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)')"

During these five years, our group has never stopped cultivating. We try our best to do the three things that Teacher asks us to do: study the Fa, clarify the truth to people, and send forth righteous thoughts.

Teacher, please do not worry. Dafa practitioners in China will not let you down. We will fulfill the sacred responsibilities of Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period.
