(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Mo Liqiong is a Falun Dafa practitioner who is in her thirties. She used to work for the Xiangtan City Textile Factory in Hunan Province as an accountant. In 1996, she started practicing Falun Dafa while she was living in Tianjin City. After the Chinese leader Jiang Zemin launched his persecution of Falun Dafa, she went to Beijing towards the end of 1999 to peacefully and lawfully appeal for an end to the persecution. At that time, her son was not even a year old.

Mo Liqiong was then illegally detained in Beijing for fifteen days, after which she was sent back home where she continued to actively inform people with the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. At the end of 2000, she went to appeal in Beijing again and was abducted by the police and sent to the Xiangtan City's liaison office in Beijing. Using her righteous thoughts and wisdom she was able to escape the detention center. After this, some vicious government officials went out of their way to find her. In order to avoid further persecution she had to abandon her home and move from one place to another. In February of 2001 she was detained and subjected to all kinds of torture. Her entire body was covered with cuts and bruises. She was illegally put on trial and was handcuffed to a male practitioner. With their righteous thoughts, they escaped the courthouse.

In 2002, while working in Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province, she was abducted and taken to her hometown of Xiangtan City in Hunan Province. Once again she escaped the detention center with righteous thoughts. In 2003, when she was handing out materials containing the facts about Falun Gong in Shenzhen City of Guangdong Province, she was abducted and jailed in a detention center for over seven months. During this period she staged on a hunger strike as a form of peaceful protest against the persecution she was enduring. This lasted for several days until she eventually left the detention center with righteous thoughts. At the end of 2003, she was abducted in Changsha City of Hunan Province. She was then tortured inhumanely and illegally sentenced to nine years of imprisonment. Currently she is being detained in the "Education and Transformation Unit" of the Changsha City Women's Prison. (The "Education and Transformation Unit" is a brainwashing organization within the prison). We ask fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts for Mo Liqiong.
