Practitioner Xu Wanxiang from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province Dies from Persecution
By a Practitioner from Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Xu Wanxiang lived in the Wanbailin District of
Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. She used to suffer from cancer and other
diseases, but her health improved greatly after she started practicing Falun
Dafa. Since the Chinese government started persecuting Falun Dafa in 1999,
however, the police often harassed Xu Wanxiang. As a result, she died on July
25, 2004. Xu Wanxiang was 55 years old. She was a Falun Dafa practitioner in Ximing
Village, Ximing Town in the Wanbailin District of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province.
Her younger sister introduced her to the practice of Falun Dafa, and her health
greatly improved after she started practicing. She was able to take care of her
daily life again and didn't have to be taken care of by anyone. In July 20, 1999, the Ximing Police Station of the Taiyuan City Police
Department, Wanbailin Branch, started to persecute practitioners. The police
often went to Xu's home to harass her, trying to force her to write
"repentance" letters again and again and trying to force her to quit
practicing Falun Gong. In 2003, because she was telling people how she benefited
physically and mentally from practicing, the Ximing Police Station wanted to
send her to a labor camp. The labor camp did not want to accept her because of
her health problems. In May, 2004, her younger sister, Xu Chunxiang, was deceived by the police
into paying 900 yuan. The police then sent her to a labor camp. Since Xu
Wanxiang's younger sister's husband was detained as well, this left their
children unattended. Xu Wanxiang took responsibility for them but was
overburdened and collapsed under the strain. The police from the Ximing Police
Station kept on harassing her anyway. On June 17, 2004, the head of the police
station took some policemen to her home and confiscated her Falun Dafa books.
She tried her best to get the exercise audiocassettes back, but it was no use.
Under this persecution and great pressure, Xu Wanxiang died on July 25, 2004. We call for an end to the persecution. We need to expose this criminal
conduct against kind-hearted people. Head of Ximing Police Station Han Wangli: 86-13803406675
