Practitioner Ms. He Juying from Nanbu County was arrested and sent to the Nanchong City Brainwashing Center on September 26, 2004. At the time of this article, she has been on a hunger strike for a few days.

On September 9, 2004, practitioner Ms. Song Duanhua, from Jinshan Township, Gelaqing District (or "Qi" as it is called by Mongolians), was arrested when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people in Wangyedian. Police officers sent her to the Xiaofu Detention Center. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, a 38-year-old male who accompanied Song Duanhua, was also arrested, but his whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Song started on a hunger strike as soon as she was detained. The police refused to release her and sent her to a hospital for an injection. Even though she is very weak, Song keeps on clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people. She has been on the hunger strike for 14 days.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Shi Meiying has been sentenced to seven years in jail and her husband to eight years in jail for their firm belief in Falun Dafa. Their two children who are in primary school have been left alone.

Ms. Du Yanfnag is a practitioner who lived in room 302, unit 3, building #40 in the Jinmabei District, and Ms. Han Dongmei lived in room 503, unit 2, building #2.

Police officers from the Yuhua District Public Security Bureau Branch searched their homes and arrested them separately at 7 a.m. on May 14, 2004, and at 7 p.m. on May 10, 2004. They are being detained at the No. 2 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang City. The Shijiazhuang City Middle Court sentenced both of them to seven years in jail on September 17, 2004.

Mr. Xie was arrested on September 23, 2004, because of his firm belief in Falun Gong. His whereabouts are unknown. Xie Jishun's home is at Xizhimen, and he was an employee of the Beijing City Construction Design Institute. Since he refused to give up his belief in Falun Gong, he was expelled from the Chinese Communist Party and was fired. To avoid being arrested by the police, he has left his home, and his family has been living a horrible life.

Around September 21, 2004, local police from the Haizhu District in Guangzhou City arrested practitioner Song Guozhen from his home. Wang Zhongchen, the former coordinator of the Haizhu District Falun Gong exercise site, was also recently arrested.

Ms. Xiao Yuchen and Ms. Gao are both in their seventies and are from Guantao County. Both ladies suffered from serious diseases but regained their health through practicing Falun Gong. In the evening of September 18, 2004, the two were arrested by police while passing out Falun Gong truth materials at the county town.

On June 10, 2003, police officer Wen Jianwei from the Weidu District Public Security Bureau Branch searched practitioner Mr. Niu Liang's home, arrested Niu and his wife, and detained them in the Huibin Building on Xinxing Street.

Using money specially allocated by the government to persecute Falun Gong, police officer Wen Jianwei and Miao Zhongkai rented a room in a luxury hotel. After drinking and eating, they beat up Niu Liang very brutally. After knocking Niu Liang down on the ground, Wen stomped on Niu's chest with his leather shoes and sat on him while he twisted his foot all the way around. Niu almost suffocated. Then Wen took out a bag of drugs to try to force Niu to take them, but Niu refused. The police officers also tortured Niu's wife and sent Niu Liang and his wife to a forced labor camp for one year.

Shi Fengyou, in his forties, is the deputy section chief of the Management Section of Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp. He takes charge of the brainwashing sessions and is very cruel in his treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. His crimes have been exposed on the Internet several times.

According to Shi himself, he stopped his own wife from practicing Falun Gong by giving her bloody beatings. Shi's wife started practicing Falun Gong in 1993. In 1996, to force his wife to give up the practice, Shi beat his wife many times until blood spattered the walls and his wife nearly died. He once put a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her. He also threatened to divorce her. Terrorized, his wife gave up the practice.

Ms. Liu is an employee of the Jingyuan County Hospital. In early July 2004, three officers from the hospital, along with two officers from the local "610 Office," went to her home to get her to write the so-called "Three Letters of Guarantee," thereby agreeing to give up the practice of Falun Gong. Liu refused, and the officers stayed at her home to coerce her. After Liu went on a hunger strike for a week, they withdrew. But on August 14, 2004, they arrested Liu Xiaoli from her home and sent her to the Heping Women's Forced Labor Camp at Yuzhong County. No family visits are allowed.

Ms. Shu Bilan is a retiree from the Changsha City Electronic Communications Bureau and a Falun Dafa practitioner around 55 years old. On August 5, 2004, she was arrested and sent to the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center. It has been over a month since then. Officers at the center claim that they will brainwash Ms. Shu for three months. The Electronic Communications Bureau helped the "610 Office" bring Ms. Shu to the center.

Ms. Shu was once detained at the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp at Zhuzhou City (50 kilometers south of Changsha), where she suffered various kinds of torture but never renounced her practice. Her term was extended. Since her release she has been clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people with her righteous thoughts while continuing to practice Falun Dafa.

On May 26, 2004, three Falun Dafa truth materials sites in Yanji City were destroyed by the police, and five practitioners were arrested. They are Ms. Gao Yan (from Tumen City), Ms. Li Meirong (from Dalian City), Mr. Zhang Hui (from Antu County), Mr. Cai Fucheng (from Longjing City), and Mr. Xu Yongzhe (from Yanji City). Many other practitioners were forced to leave their homes.

All the property at the sites was taken away by the police officers. Losses at site #1 included one 1668 copier, one HP 1000 printer, one laptop PC, two new internet cards, one cell phone with camera (about 3,000 yuan), 12 readers, about 20,000 yuan worth of ink for the printer and copier, ten boxes of paper, about 6,000 yuan in cash, and two MPS players. Losses at site #2 included 3 laser printers, one inkjet printer, three PCs, one CD copier, three boxes of ink, 7 boxes of A4 paper, two readers, and 500 yuan in cash. Items at site #3 are unknown. The police also confiscated about nine months rent deposit from the landlord. These losses were only discovered about four months after the raids occurred.

Back on May 13, practitioners Ms. Dong Guizhi, Ms. Liu Zhengqin, Ms. Wang Dongmei (from Jilin City) and others were also arrested.

On May 19, 2004, police officers from the Yanji City Police Brigade, the Gongyuan Police Station, the Changbai Township Police Station, and the Xiaoying Police Station worked together to have nine practitioners arrested. Some practitioners make a living by selling vegetables, but the police officers took their vegetables away. One practitioner was building a house. The police officers also took away the steamed bread that was prepared for the workers.

On May 26, 56-year-old Ms. Jin Shuhua died from the persecution.

After the arrests, the police officers forced the practitioners' families to each pay 10,000 yuan before their family members would be released.

On August 15, 2004, practitioner Chen Guangwu was arrested when he delivered Falun Dafa truth materials to the Yanji City Public Security Bureau. Police officers confiscated a new copier from his home. Chen is now being detained at the Yanji City Detention Center. No family visits are allowed.

Ms. Liu Shujuan was arrested in April 2004 by the Yushu City Public Security Bureau. The police almost suffocated her by wrapping material around her head and detaining her for a long time. Ms. Liu suffered greatly both mentally and physically.

Mr. Wang Shiming is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dalian City. In the summer of 2000, he was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp because he was involved with a Falun Dafa truth materials case. In the camp he was forced to do hard work such as picking peas and moving heavy bags. He suffered brutal torture on March 19, 2001. He was released in the summer of 2001. In less than a year, he was arrested again because he delivered Falun Dafa related materials. He is again being detained at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Ye Mei is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Heiyaochang West Street in the Taoranting District. In the early morning on July 6, 2004, she was arrested while delivering Falun Dafa truth materials. Police officers tortured her until she was near death. Ye fainted and lost consciousness for four days. She has now been sentenced to two years in jail.

Pressured by dire threats, Ye's family does not dare to expose the facts about Ye's tortures.

All Ye Mei did was tell people that her diseases were cured through practicing Falun Gong, and that Falun Gong teaches people to be nice and kind. She did nothing wrong!

Mr. Wang is a 34-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner from Antu. His home is in Yanji City. On January 29, he was arrested while making copies of Falun Dafa truth materials. He was sentenced to one year in jail and sent to Jiutai Forced Labor Camp.

On the afternoon on July 20, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tang Qihe was arrested while posting stickers about the truth of Falun Dafa. Her daughter called her aunt Zhang Peiying to inform her about the arrest. Since the authorities were monitoring the cell phone, Ms. Zhang Peiying was arrested the next morning. Zhang Peiying was released on August 30, but Tang Qihe was sentenced to one year in jail. During the arrest process, Ms. Tang kept on shouting "Falun Dafa Is Great!"

Ms. Wang Pinglan is a practitioner from Lagu Township in Fushun County. She was arrested when she clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to patients she was nursing at the Fushun City Chinese Medicine Hospital. At 2 p.m. on September 16, 2004, officers from the Xinfu Police Station and the security departments of the hospital arrested Ms. Wang while she was working in a ward and brought her to the Xinfu Police Station. On September 17, Ms. Wang escaped for a short while but was again arrested and sent to the Nangou Detention Center that same evening. Ms. Wang started a hunger strike immediately and is now in critical situation. The officers detaining Ms. Wang do not answer any inquires from her family.

There are about 40 Falun Dafa practitioners being detained at the Nangou Detention Center in Fushun City at this moment.

Practitioners Ms. Hao Yufeng and Gai Shou'er are residents of the Sandaohezi Township in Linyuan City. On the evening of September 22, they clarified the truth about Falun Dafa in Guozhangzi Township, Pingquan County, Hebei Province, and were arrested by the Pingquan County Public Security Bureau. Their rented mini-van and the driver were both detained.

On the evening of September 26, Mr. Wei Jingui and Yang Jiru from Xiangdong Township in Linyuan City were arrested by the local police station while they were delivering Falun Dafa truth materials. They are now being detained in Linyuan City Detention Center.

Practitioners Ms. Yan Zhihua, Ms. Li Xiuqing, and Mr. Li Haiming from the Linyuan Steel Company were arrested while delivering Falun Dafa truth materials. They have now been detained at Tianyi Detention Center for over a month.

On September 22, 2004, Pengzhou City illegally put practitioner Chen Liqing on trial. Mr. Chen resisted the persecution by exposing how police officers in Pengzhou City tortured him. Many practitioners attending the court supported Chen with their righteous thoughts. They shouted "Falun Dafa Is Great" together, and the court had to stop the trial.

Mr. Chen's wife Liu Qirong is in her sixties. Ms. Liu has been detained in jail for three years, and now Jiang's regime is plotting to put Mr. Chen in jail as well.

Ms. Qiao Zhiying is about 50 years old. She was detained in Xinan Forced Labor Camp and the Fourth Brigade of the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Beijing for one and half years during 2001 and 2002. After she resumed working at Mentougou Hospital, she was again arrested.

Mentougou Hospital is coercing their employees who are practitioners to write statements guaranteeing to renounce Falun Dafa.

On September 1, 2004, Shi Wenrui, the head of the Dingxi Jail, agreed to torture practitioner Wang Peng with multiple electric batons.

On September 2, 2004, from 7:50 a.m. to noon, in the third jail area, instructor Gao and area head Li tortured practitioners with over ten electric batons. At the same time in the fourth jail area, practitioners Jin Zhilin, Xu Feng, Wang Yuping, and Bi Wenming were shocked by police officers Li and Zhang Jianying.

On September 3, 2004, police officers coerced criminals to torture Bi Wenming brutally, and then the police officers shocked Bi with electric batons, killing him instantly. During the process, Mr. Bi was heard shouting "Falun Dafa Is Great," but mostly only the noise of beating could be heard.

On around September 10, 2004, police officer Li Jinhai from the Wongniute (or "Qi" as it is known in Mongolian) District ordered the arrest of Ms. Li Guifen, who is in her fifties, while she was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. Around September 15, when Mr. Du Guoyun, who was in his forties, was working, Li Jinhai brought out police officers to have Du arrested. Both practitioners' homes were searched, and many Falun Dafa books and audio materials were confiscated.

Ms. Peng Yujuan is an employee of the Chinese Science and Technology University. Right before October 1, the University Security Department and the "610 Office" arrested her and sent her to a brainwashing center. In the past, the Security Department has collaborated with the "610 Office" to have many teachers and students expelled, sent to forced labor camps, or sent to jail.
