Gradually Becoming Mature in Fa-rectification Cultivation

(Clearwisdom.net) I suffered from various illnesses for dozens of years. Several months after practicing Falun Gong, they all miraculously disappeared. This established my firm confidence and determination in cultivation. No matter what the environment is like, I firmly listen to what Master says and follow what Master's teachings.

The first time I went out to post truth clarification materials, I only brought with me one piece of material. I walked for 3 to 4 hours, but could not find a place that I felt was safe or appropriate. I did not find a place for it, so I took it back. I felt frustrated, guilty and useless. Why was it like this? Looking deeply within myself, I found that it was because of fear, selfishness, and the thought of protecting myself. How do I eliminate it? Master said, "So Fa-study is extremely important. Your righteous thoughts and everything you accomplish come from the Fa, so no matter how busy you are, don't neglect Fa-study." Later on when I distributed truth clarification materials again, my mind was righteous and I had greatly improved. Once when a fellow practitioner and I walked through streets and lanes to put up materials, we found that we were being followed. We remained very calm. We were not afraid at all. Seeing us walking and chatting, he only followed for a while and left. We finished putting up all the materials we had.

By keeping righteous thoughts in Fa rectification and reciting quietly Master's Fa-rectification verses, we would definitely be safe under Master's protection. This is what I have experienced in the Fa-rectification period.

Since July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong started, the "610 Office" set up brainwashing sessions everywhere. At work, employees who practice Falun Gong were kidnapped and sent to brainwashing centers to be coerced to give up practicing. One day a fellow practitioner called me and said, "A certain official called and asked me to go to the neighborhood office for a chat. I know that it won't be good, so I suggest you go to your relatives' place to hide at once." Under the strong attachment of fear of persecution and arrest, I left home and stayed away for two months.

In cultivation, nothing happens by accident. Everything is to test one's heart. You should use Dafa as the standard for everything you run into, to determine what is right and what is wrong, and to rectify one's shortcomings and eliminate the arrangements by the old forces.

There are several people who suffer from serious illnesses in my neighborhood. They could barely take care of themselves. Some stay in bed all the time. I visited them to clarify the truth, but the effects were not good. I looked inside and found that my motivation was wrong. The intention to cure illnesses and the intention to save sentient beings bring different effects.

The above examples are about how I have gradually become more mature. In the days to come I will do the three things Master told us to do--study the Fa, send righteous thoughts and clarify the truth--more steadily. I will maintain righteous thoughts and do righteous deeds in rectifying Dafa. I will remain rational and sensible in saving sentient beings and walk my path well the last stage of Fa-rectification.
