Intensified Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Heishan County, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 2004, policemen from Heishan County in Liaoning Province have been recklessly persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. For example, the police detained Dafa practitioner Liu Xiufei, who is from Heishan County. When practitioners were forced to flee from their homes to avoid detention, police in their districts or villages have been coming to their relatives' homes to press them for their whereabouts. Some officials from the Education Department have been coercing practitioners who work in the County Education Department to write "Guarantee Statements" (as proof that they have given up their belief), explaining that this is for the opening of a "Reeducation Class" in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. What is more, some Neighborhood Administration Offices and personnel from police stations have been regularly visiting practitioners' homes to harass them.

On July 21, 2004, policeman Qian Guoming from the Fangshan Township Police Station, Heishan County, illegally took into custody practitioner Ms. Wang Lirong, who is from Luotai Village, Fangshan Township. The police searched her home and confiscated Dafa books. Two days later, they seized practitioner Ms. Zheng Liping, who is from the neighboring Guotun Village, and held her in the township police station. Later, they released her, only after extorting 1,000 yuan from her family.

On September 3, 2004, the Head of the Fangshan Township Police Station, Li Fuhua, led several policemen including Qian Guoming and Jiang Jun to practitioner Guo Zhongming's house to take him away. Guo Zhongming was not there that day, and only his son was at home. The police saw Teacher's picture and started searching the whole house without a search warrant. They found some Dafa books. They pressed his son about his father's whereabouts. His son told them that his father went to a relative's house to help with some housework. The police confiscated the Dafa books and Teacher's picture. The next day, they went to the relative's home and found Guo Zhongming and took him to the Heishan Detention Center.

In the Taihe Township Police Station, Heishan County, Police Chief Zhang Ziquan and his staff have been increasing their persecution of Dafa practitioners. They have seized several practitioners in the past month or so.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Lihua, who is from Nanni Village, Taihe Township, Heishan County, was taken away from her home on August 5, 2004. People who saw what happened said that a village official named Liu Chunlei was seen trying to pull down a Dafa banner hanging in the village on the morning of August 5. An hour later, over a dozen officials from the Heishan Police Department National Security Brigade, Taihe Township Police Station and the Village Committee went to Wang Lihua's home to search her house and take her away. They confiscated several Dafa books and put her in the Heishan Detention Center.

On September 6, 2004, police guard Bi Shijun from the Heishan National Security Brigade and policeman Zhang Ziquan from the Taihe Police Station seized practitioner Liu Baochen, who teaches at the Shengli Middle School. They confiscated his computer from his home. They even took the power cord and a screwdriver.

On September 16, 2004, at around 9:00 a.m., policemen Zhang Ziquan, Wang Fei and driver Xu Shuhua from the Taihe Police Station took into custody practitioner Ms. Li Yulan from her home in Baotun Village, to the Taihe Township Police Station. They claimed that they did this because they saw the book, Zhuan Falun (the principal text of Falun Dafa) and some tapes containing Teacher's lectures in her house. They pressured Li Yulan to disclose who gave her these. Li Yulan told them that a relative named Shi Qingyun gave her the Dafa materials. That same day, at around 11:00 a.m., they detained Shi Qingyun and brought her to the police station. That afternoon, they sent both of them to the Heishan Detention Center, charging them with "disturbing social stability."

In mid-September 2004, practitioner Yang Mingyue from Heishan County was seized from her home, and her house was illegally searched.

On September 27, 2004, police from Heishan County Police Department sent practitioner Li Yulan, Shi Qingyun, and Yang Mingyue to Masanjia Labor Camp for forced labor.
