Detailed report featuring an interview with Yang Ren's mother

Yang Ren's parents are both middle school teachers and Falun Gong practitioners. Ren's mother used to have an incurable stomach disease. A colleague introduced her to Falun Gong. After she started practicing Falun Gong, she found her attachments to personal gain and losses disappeared. She became a very relaxed and healthy person.

Ren's mother asked Ren to practice Falun Gong, hoping he wouldn't be so absent-minded anymore. Ever since Ren was little, he often completely forgot about doing his homework. Surpassing his mother's expectation, Ren not only improved his homework, but also won first place in Taiwan's National Speed Reading Contest after he started practicing Falun Gong. Many were awed by how Ren suddenly attained such a miraculous memory. Being in a family that cultivates Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance has helped Ren greatly improve his wisdom.

Ren's mother said it was common for teenagers to be moody, but Ren had been very calm since he started cultivation practice. After learning the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, he became very honest and followed these principles in everything he did. He gained a strong sense of right and wrong. He got along with others in his class and gave up playing violent computer games.

As a middle school teacher, Ren's mother learned how to give more consideration to her students through following Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. She feels it has become easier to discipline her class. She said, "Restricting kids by rules can't prevent them from doing bad things behind your back. But when you put Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance in their hearts, they know how to discipline themselves. It is the best education."
