(Clearwisdom.net) On October 3, Falun Gong practitioners from Milwaukee, Wisconsin participated the annual Bay View Bash after being invited by the organizer a month in advance. The Falun Gong booth was well decorated and looked very peaceful. A state representative and a city council member signed their names on postcards that will be sent to Chinese forced labor camps to help rescue jailed practitioners.

On the event day, there were crowds of people in the streets, including vendors, performers, and shopkeepers, and over 1000 residents participated in the activity. The purpose of the annual event is to build a stronger community. Local residents have already seen the beauty of Falun Dafa in the "South Shore Water Frolics Parades" in the past two years. Falun Gong won the first place recognition in both events.
We set up a small table with truth clarifying materials and banners. We passed out hundreds of flyers and had made a special card that would be sent to Tuanhe holding center and the Xin'an labor camp in Beijing. These camps are places where Falun Gong practitioners have been subjected to some of the most brutal torture methods ever known.
Many people were very happy to sign the card, including our alderman Tony Zielinski, who expressed great concern over the Falun Gong persecution in China. Also our state representative Gwen Moore signed and talked about human rights issues.
We also demonstrated the exercises and one man on a bicycle stopped right away. He said, "What is in the air here? It is so very peaceful. After explaining the exercises and their benefits and what Falun Gong is about he said, "I have had a severe anxiety problem for many years and I can only leave my home on this bicycle to feel safe...if I even go out at all. After being here for just a few moments I feel so good, safe and peaceful. Thank-you so much. I would like to learn." He stayed by the practice site for quite a while.
The whole event had taken on a very warm and wondrous atmosphere, even though it was a cold, chilly day.
