Seoul: Falun Gong Practitioners Introduce Falun Dafa at a Subway Art Celebration (Photos)

Falun Gong practitioners participated in the celebration and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises in a subway station last year. The popular exercises and the Falun Gong practitioners' exemplary performance and punctuality left a deep impression on people, especially the stationmaster. He invited Falun Gong practitioners to return for this year's celebration.

Falun Gong practitioners also received a formal invitation from the organizer of a series of art activities for the Seoul City Subway Community this year. It invited Falun Gong practitioners to hold activities on a stage at a subway station from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 20 through October 22. After working at their jobs all day, many Falun Gong practitioners went to the subway station to demonstrate the exercises and introduce Falun Dafa to the public. They set up a screen behind the stage to play Master Li's exercise-teaching video. Next to the stage were photo displays introducing Falun Dafa and telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Some practitioners talked to passers-by to tell them in person the true story of Falun Gong.

The pictures of persecution victims caught people's attention. Most subway passengers watched the exercise demonstration carefully and took the introductory materials with them. Some spent their time listening to Falun Gong practitioners' truth clarification. Although it wasn't the busiest station, it was a peaceful atmosphere for people to watch the exercise demonstrations and view the photos. It was a perfect place to clarify the truth in depth. Almost all the passengers could learn the basic points about Falun Gong.

A Chinese-Korean happened to pass us and told a practitioner, "Falun Gong is really good for health. My wife's health improved after she started practicing Falun Gong. But it is not allowed in China because of the dictatorship in China. I know Falun Gong is good and I appreciate your hard work."

With the increasing exchange between China and Korea, more and more Koreans are becoming interested in China and Chinese culture. Many Koreans took the introductory materials written in Chinese. Some college students took Chinese materials for their Chinese friends.

On the other side of the stage was a signature collection booth. Local residents took the initiative to sign their names in support of the rescue efforts for a Korean citizen's wife, Gao Chengnu, who is imprisoned in China. Most people asked about where they could learn Falun Gong.

It was a very successful activity, thanks to the assistance of the subway station and the smooth coordination among Falun Gong practitioners.
