By a Russian practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) From the 1st to the 6th of September 2004, in the
capital city of Russia, the Department of Education and the Department of News
and Publication worked together to hold the 2004 World Book and News Media
Exhibition. More than seventy countries participated. Originally, at the opening
ceremony, it was decided that the President would cut the ribbon; however, due
to the school hostage incident which happened at the time of the exhibition, the
President cancelled his plans, and the Minister of Culture cut the ribbon
instead. During this exhibition, many famous people in Russian society and
famous writers came to meet the readers. The International Human Rights
Organization also joined this exhibition for the first time. Russian Falun Gong practitioners took part in this book exhibition as well.
Their stall was on the second floor and had a really eye-catching sign. At the
stall, they showed Falun Dafa's books in several languages and also honors that
Falun Gong has been awarded from around the world. The main media and publishers
in Russia also attended and interviewed Falun Gong practitioners. Source: http://clearharmony.net/articles/200410/22532.html
