A Mother is Illegally Imprisoned for Her Firm Belief in Falun Gong, Leaving Two Daughters Struggling to Survive

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Xiyu is a 53-year-old mother of two. She is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qiaogezhuang Village, Guxian Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province, and is capable and industrious. Her former husband passed away, and she later married Wang Chuanqing, who is an honest and friendly person. Before July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began, they both practiced Falun Gong. Wang Chuanqing was very nice, and cherished his stepdaughters. The older daughter's name is Wang Lin, born on December 12, 1978. The younger daughter's name is Wang Fei, born on January 17, 1986. Both girls are lovely and adorable, and together they were a happy family.

After Jiang's regime started the persecution, faced with tremendous pressure, Wang Chuanqing gave up the practice of Falun Gong. On the night of February 18, 2000, Wang Chuanqing suffered a stroke and was partially paralyzed to the extent that he was bedridden. Even after medical treatment, he could barely stand using a cane, and was unable to walk without assistance. Wang Xiyu then became solely responsible for the welfare of the entire family. She did all the household chores and took care of her husband and children. She also continually practiced "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance," and did her best to disclose the evil persecution and clarify the truth to other people.

Because of the positive influence of Wang Xiyu, Wang Chuanqing started to wake up from the misunderstandings about Falun Gong, and he changed his attitude towards it. In late June 2001, the Guxian Town police and Pingdu City police arrested Wang Xiyu. After being illegally imprisoned for six months, Wang Xiyu was sentenced to five years in prison and was sent to the Jinan Prison for Women, where she is still being held. After his wife was arrested, Wang Chuanqing had to rely on his eldest stepdaughter, Wang Lin, to take care of him. The heavy burden of taking care of the home and family fell on Wang Lin's shoulders. Due to constant harassment and threats from the police, coupled with the grief of being separated from his wife, Wang Chuanqing passed away in October 2002 after nearly three years of suffering from illness and tragedy. He was 61 years old when he died. In this way a happy family was destroyed and two young girls were left to fend for themselves.

After Wang Chuanqing's death, Wang Lin and Wang Fei were forced to move to their grandfather's house in Renzhao Village, Renzhao Town, Pingdu city. Their grandfather, Dai Hongyao, was 78 years old, and he could not afford to care for the two girls. After much effort, Wang Lin found a job in Renzhao, but her wages were barely enough to pay for their daily expenses.

When Wang Xiyu was remarried toWang Chuanqing, her son, Wang Zexing, who was born on September 10, 1987, was sent to live with his grandfather, Dai Hongyao. After 2003, Wang Zexing had found two jobs, and in both cases the potential employers asked Wang Zexing to provide some documents routinely issued by the local police station. However the Guxian Town police refused to issue the necessary documents because Wang Zexing's mother, Wang Xiyu, refused to renounce the practice of Falun Gong. Consequently Wang Zexing lost the opportunities of having the promised jobs, and is still living with his grandfather.
