Wang Xi, a Teacher at Shihezi Business School in Xinjiang Province, Illegally Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison
By a Dafa practitioner from Xinjiang Province
(Clearwisdom.net) On January 5, 2004, Wang Xi, a teacher at the
Shihezi Business School of Xinjiang Province, was abducted from home by
"610 Office" officials from Urumqi City, Shihezi City, Xinjiang Corps
and the Eighth Agriculture Division in Xinjiang Province, as well as by
policemen from the National Security Detachment of the Shihezi Police Department
of Xinjiang Province. The main people responsible were Song Li and Xu Ningdong.
Wang Xi was later illegally sentenced to 7 years in the Second Women's Prison in
Urumqi, Xinjiang Province. It is reported that the reason for Wang Xi's being
abducted was that she wrote an article to disclose the persecution she suffered
while in a labor camp. After the abduction this time in January 2004, Ms. Wang
has been protesting the persecution by staging a hunger strike. She was already
close to death by the time she was sentenced to prison in March. Wang Xi, 39 years of age, was an accounting teacher at Shihezi Business
School of Xinjiang Province. She graduated from the accounting department of
Lanzhou Business College in Gansu Province. Simply because she practiced Falun
Dafa, Ms. Wang was detained several times, sentenced to forced labor two times,
and twice subjected to Shihezi brainwashing classes (the authorities call it by
the misleading moniker of "Legal System Learning Class"). The second
abduction was executed by the party secretary of the Business School, Wang
Tingzhan, the assistant party secretary, Zhou Jishu, Gong Xingchang of the
Politics and Law committee, and Guo Tianqiang of the "610 Office."
Wang Xi was sentenced to a forced labor camp for 3 years. She was sent back home
on medical parole after six months, because she was constantly on a hunger
strike in the labor camp. After Wang Xi was released in May of 2003, she wrote an article of appeal to
some of the relevant departments and officials, and disclosed the atrocities
committed against her. Clearwisdom.net has also published an article in which
Wang Xi's experience was mentioned (See, http://clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2004/2/7/44874.html).
Among the abuse she suffered, the guards of the labor camp always grabbed her
hair and rammed her head against the concrete wall and the iron bed. They pushed
her down the stairs, causing her to strike her head as she fell. Wang Xi was
beaten until she had mouthfuls of blood many times. Her teeth were broken, and
she was badly bruised. The Shihezi "610 Office" officials were in a state of anxiety when
they heard that this information was publicized. Therefore, on January 5, 2004,
they illegally searched Wang Xi's house, confiscated her property and abducted
her, using the excuse that they located the article she had written in her
house. The Shihezi Inspection Department signed the arrest notice on February
10, 2004 and indicted Wang Xi on March 18. Wang Xi was sentenced to 7 years in
prison. She was illegally detained in the Second Women's Prison in Urumqi,
Xinjiang Province. In addition, Wang Xi's husband had a lot of money extorted from him and was
forced to divorce her. Wang Xi asked the school whether she could come back to
work in 2003, but they refused her. Wang Xi tried to find a job, but no company
dared to accept her since she practiced Falun Gong. It is reported that the people who know the truth all talk about the
injustice perpetrated against Wang Xi, and condemn those officials who defy the
national law and persecute law-abiding people at will. Contact information - The National Security Detachment of Shihezi Police Department of Xinjiang
