Australia: Spreading Dafa at the Cabramatta "Mid-Autumn Fall Festival" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Cabramatta has one of the highest immigrant populations of all cities in Australia. Immigrants from 130 countries and regions around the world reside here, including those of 13 Asian ethnic groups. The city, located southwest of Sydney, has a diverse population, with 75% of its residents born overseas, and 80% of its residents speaking more than two languages.

During a one hour visit to Cabramatta, one can make a complete Asian trip. One will be able to see Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Lao, and Kampuchean peoples, who have all carefully preserved their cultural traditions and life styles. The Cabramatta Mid-Autumn Festival is a holiday jointly organized by the city government and the local community. Held this year on September 28, it is the largest Mid-Autumn celebration in Australia, with an estimated 60,000 people participating.

Distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials

Like the Chinese who live in other regions, the Chinese who live here have been deeply poisoned by the Jiang regime's anti-Falun Gong propaganda. To let them know the facts about Falun Gong, Sydney practitioners have come here to clarify the truth many times. During this year's festival, practitioners continuously distributed materials to passersby from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The streets of Cabramatta were filled with pedestrians, just like during the annual cultural gatherings in Beijing and Shanghai. This, however, is a very rare occasion in Australia.

In the past, local Chinese people would take another route when they saw practitioners from afar, and wouldn't accept materials. Some even said, "You are involved in politics and acting against the Chinese government." Thanks to practitioners' continuous truth-clarifying efforts during the past five years, more and more ordinary people have awakened to the truth. During this year's event, unlike before, many Chinese took materials from our information table and talked with us. An older lady who came from Mainland China said, "I know Falun Gong, I often read your truth-clarifying materials." There was also a group of young students from China who came to our information table to learn the practice.

At 4:00 p.m., the Minghui Chinese School went on-stage to perform the traditional waist drum dance of a Taiwan ethnic minority group. The entire audience loved the small girls' beautiful costumes and the elegant dance. Reporters from local media took pictures of the students.

After the Minghui School, it was the Sydney practitioners' turn to perform "The Gate of Heaven Opens" dance. As soon as the music started, the audience became very quiet. Maybe something deep down inside the people told them that this was special music to which they should pay attention.
