(Clearwisdom.net) I often need to take taxis. I rarely miss a chance to inform taxi drivers of Falun Gong's situation. I cannot remember how many drivers I have talked to or how many times. There have been at least over 1,000 people.

I remember several times the drivers recognized me just as I got into the taxi. One New Year's, when I got on a taxi early in the morning, the driver smiled at me and said, "You again!" I greeted him, "Happy New Year!" He told me, "Last time you told me about Falun Gong. When I told my wife, she said, 'Wow, there are still people who dare to say the truth.' If you have books or literature, please let me read them. I also want my friends to read them, and I can also ask them to help you distribute your literature." I saw his sincerity and eagerness and gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun (which I had brought with me to give to a friend), several copies of informational VCD's, and some bookmarks. He wanted more and said he had many relatives and friends. I said, "That's all I have. They can pass the materials on to others when they finish." When I reached my destination, he was reluctant to accept the taxi fare from me. While I was giving him the money I said, "Our Teacher asks us to be good people wherever we go. You have earned this money with your work. Please take it." He thanked me again and again and said, "It is a pleasure to have a passenger like you. I am really glad!"

One time I took a taxi early in the morning. Just as I stepped into the taxi, the driver said he felt lonely. He wanted me to go to his house with him first before he took me to work. He said that he wouldn't charge me. Faced with such a request from a stranger whose intentions were unclear, the first thing I thought was to inform him about Falun Dafa and save him. I said to him, "It is predestined that we have met; there is a reason behind it." Then I explained to him why he should cherish a predestined relationship, why he should be untroubled and dignified, and why he should really not be so lonely. In addition, I explained the principle of good being rewarded with good and how bad will be met with retribution. I told him that Falun Gong teaches people how to conduct themselves well. When we arrived at my destination he said to me, "Today, I really don't want to charge you. You taught me a great lesson. Thank you!" Of course I did pay him. When I got out of his car, he said, "I will remember what you said."

While taking a taxi in Chengdu City, the taxi driver realized I was from out of town. He was very thoughtful and took me to the train station using a shortcut. I took out an informational VCD and said, "Thank you for your wonderful service. I want to give you a gift - the true story about Falun Gong. Please remember Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." He took the VCD and said excitedly, "Wow, there are still people who appreciate my kindness. Others say I am foolish."

Recently, the government agencies that control taxis ordered the drivers to report on Falun Gong practitioners who reveal the truth about the persecution. After learning this news, I thought it over. How could I talk to the taxi drivers about Falun Gong? I calmed down and studied Teacher's article, "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People." I realized I must break through this obstacle arranged by the evil and continue to tell people what's going on! From then on, every time I have taken a taxi, I have taken the taxi driver's feelings into consideration. I add a kind word, "You have been working hard!" Then I ask them if they know the regulation about reporting Falun Gong practitioners. Some say they know about it, but that no one is interested in that kind of reward. One driver said, "It is pointless. Getting that kind of money makes your conscience uneasy." Some drivers know the truth about Falun Gong and say, "Falun Gong is very good." I talk to those people who don't know the truth about Falun Gong, "Actually, Falun Gong has been mistreated..." When it is time to say goodbye, some drivers say, "What you have said seems to be true. I will not report you."

I remember one time our whole family took a taxi. After getting in the taxi, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. As a result, the driver started talking about Falun Gong to our family.

Through the last few years of talking to taxi drivers, I have realized that if I place myself among them and treat them as I would myself, the results are very good. One time, I met a driver who loved music. After I got in his car, I found he was listening to Chinese folk songs. He was really absorbed in it. After some small talk, he exclaimed, "Nowadays, beautiful songs are getting fewer and fewer." I immediately took out a tape of Pudu and Jishi and told him it was Falun Gong music and asked him to give it a try. After he changed tapes, the beautiful music instantly filled the car. I even sensed that the music traveled all the way to the heavens. At that moment, the excited driver said again and again, "Such beautiful music! Such beautiful music! Falun Gong is amazing!"

When we bring the beauty of Falun Dafa to the world's people with a pure and compassionate heart and clear away the dust of the malicious lies from their minds, their knowing side will be saved, they will be sincerely grateful to the person who told them the truth, and, of course, we will not have to worry about them reporting us to the authorities.
