Aohan County, Inner Mongolia: Ji Guomin Abducted, her Mother-in-law Dies of Stress Related Illness

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Ji Guoming, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Aohan County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, was forced to become homeless during a large-scale arrest of Dafa practitioners implemented by the police of Aohan County on July 20, 2003. On July 5, 2004, while on a business trip, Ji Guomin was involved in a traffic accident and suffered a head injury, followed by loss of consciousness. She underwent an operation to sew up the wound in a hospital. It was during this time that she was arrested. On July 6, Ms. Ji was thrown into the Aohan Detention Center by Gong Chuanxing. In protest, she went on a hunger strike for 50 days, during which time she was force-fed. On September 1, although she was already in critical condition, Ji Guomin was transferred to the Hohhot City Women's Prison of Inner Mongolia for further persecution. Ji Guomin was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment. The whole process of the sentence was carried out secretly while Ms. Ji was in the hospital.

On September 31, Ji Guomin's husband was given official permission to see his wife. Together with their second son and two other relatives, he went to the prison to see his wife after a long separation. His son also took the opportunity to meet with his mother whom he missed so much. By that time, Ji Guomin was in critical condition and could only speak feebly. She was carried to her family members by two male inmates. The scene was so sad that everyone couldn't help shedding tears; even the two criminals were in tears of sympathy.

Ji Guomin's mother-in-law had suffered from intestinal cancer 6 years before. Finding no way to cure her disease, she started to practice Falun Gong with Ji Guomin, and she recovered quickly. However, after she found out that Ji Guomin was taken away and sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment, the 83-year-old woman became ill, in great anxiety. At 3 o'clock in the morning of August 31, the day Ji Guomin was supposed to be sent to the Hohhot City Women's Prison, the elderly woman died as a result of the great mental strain.

At her mother-in-law's funeral, the visitors wept in sympathy over the tragedy experienced by Ji Guomin's family. Many of them couldn't help crying openly with great sorrow.
