Kunming Medical College Breaks Up A Falun Dafa Practitioner's Marriage and Forces Her to Have an Abortion

My name is Yang Xiaoming. I used to be Xiao Jun's wife. Xiao Jun works in the
No.50 Plant, which is an auxiliary plant of Kunming's No. 507 Institute. I
started to cultivate Falun Dafa in 1995, and I benefited both mentally and
physically. My husband and I never quarreled, and we loved and respected each
other. On July 20, 1999, when I had been married less than a year, the
persecution-based-on-lies against Falun Gong and its practitioners became
overwhelming. For the past five years and more, both Xiao Jun and I, as well as
family members on both sides, have been suffering significantly.
On Sunday afternoon, September 12, 2004, I went to the home of Xiao Jun's
family to help with the laundry and cooking. My mother-in-law came home. As soon
as she saw me she started to scold me and hit me. My husband Xiao Jun tried to
stop her and asked me to leave quickly. My mother-in-law chased me from the
third floor to the first floor of the building and chased me to the bicycle
storage area. She scratched my arm.
Why did this happen? Two weeks before, my colleague brought a birth control
form and asked me to fill it out. I told my colleague that if the authorities
had not already persecuted me and forced me to have an abortion, my previously
conceived child would already be four years old. Personnel from the Kunming
Medical College had forced me to have an abortion in January 2000. On September
7, 2004, Huang Qunzhong from the college's "610 Office" called me in to have a
talk. Li Linhai and Huang Weiming were also there. Li Linhai was the secretary
for the Party branch committee of the Rear Service Development Center of Kunming
Medical College, and Huang Weiming was from the security section. After our
"talk," Huang Qunzhong said that if I still wanted to persist in practicing
Falun Gong, he would make my husband divorce me again. At the time my husband
Xiao Jun and I had just been remarried for about a month. We had experienced
several years of hardships and it was not at all easy that we finally got
together again. (Please refer to my written appeal for the reason we divorced.)
The ill-intended gang in the Kunming Medical College used those closest to me
to harm me. They pressured and terrorized my family members. They stabbed my
family members with an invisible knife, and through my family members they
stabbed me. After these evil people had succeeded in persecuting me, they then
tried to force me, the person being persecuted, to admit to them that I was the
one making mistakes! This is intolerable by heaven's law!

Appeal
To the Supreme People's Procuratorate:
My name is Yang Xiaoming and I am 35 years old. I am a female employee of
the administration section of the Rear Service Development Center of Kunming
Medical College. Since my childhood I was physically weak and had many
illnesses. Because both of my eyes were diseased, I was unable to go to
school. I stayed at home after I graduated from elementary school. I have
been employed here since 1984.
At the end of 1995, I fortunately started to practice Falun Gong. Many of
life's puzzles that had perplexed me despite much thought were resolved for
me. From then on I became energetic and healthy. For six or seven years I
have never needed to see a doctor or take any medicine.
On July 20, 1999 Jiang Zemin started the inhuman, bloody suppression of
Falun Dafa practitioners who believe in
"Truthfulness-Benevolence-Tolerance."
After July 20, 1999, I kept telling the true situation to the relevant
leading departments of the medical college. I told them, "Falun Dafa is the
great law endowed with mighty virtues that teaches people to take moral
development seriously and to be compassionate! What is presented on the TV
are all fabrications and lies."
The medical college formed "a special case panel" to persecute me. They
tried to force me to defame Master Li and to defame Dafa and tried to force
me to give up my belief in "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Tolerance." I refused
to cooperate. They then got to my father and my husband. They threatened my
father with stopping his retirement pay and threatened my husband with
eliminating his job. They forced my 70 year-old father to kneel on the
ground to beg me to give up my belief. I felt very sad seeing my father
doing that, and I knelt down beside my father. I told Qin Deyong, who was
the head of the general affairs department and also a member the persecution
panel, "You cannot do this! Master Li teaches us to be good people and there
is nothing wrong with that!"
Because I persistently refused to give up cultivating Falun Gong, when I
learned that I had been pregnant for less than half a month, Qin Deyong went
to my husband's employer to pressure my husband, saying that if I did not
have an abortion, they would expel him from the Party and eliminate his job.
Because of their intimidation, on January 7, 2000, my husband reluctantly
and sorrowfully put me into the hospital to have an abortion.
On February 24, 2000, several friends and I went to a friend's home to
visit. Several police officers broke into the home, abducted me, and took me
to the Macun Village Police Station. They interrogated me and would not
permit me to return home after the interrogation. They notified the security
section of the medical college to take me back. I was then detained in the
office of the general affairs section of the medical college overnight. On
the second day the head of the medical college asked me again whether I
still wanted to practice Falun Gong. They would let me go home right away if
I said that I would give up the practice. I told them, "There is nothing
wrong with me believing in 'Truthfulness-Benevolence-Tolerance.' To visit my
friend is my freedom of association; I did nothing to violate the law. Why
do you treat me this way?"
Late in the afternoon, they sent me to the Guanshang Detention Center to
incarcerate me for 15 day for "disturbing the public order." In the
detention center I had to sort hot peppers from morning to night every day,
and I was not allowed to sleep before I finished the sorting. I also had to
pay six yuan each day for the meals. When my term of detention was up, they
illegally transferred me to the Haigeng Police Training Ground and detained
me for six more days. Every day they demanded that my family to pay them 100
yuan in living expenses. My family paid a total of 600 yuan. I was detained
for a total of 21 days. My husband, who had never before experienced such
frustration, was unable to withstand all the ordeal. He proposed that we
divorce. In order not to involve him in these hardships, I agreed to the
divorce. In this way, my originally happy but now persecuted family was
broken up, and my unborn baby was already dead.
Not long after I divorced, Qin Deyong instructed his subordinate to call
me to the general affairs section office while Qin Deyong himself used this
opportunity to sneak into my home. Without any legal documentation he
searched my home and took away my Falun Dafa materials. Only my father was
at home by himself, and he was unable to endure this kind of insult. In a
fury he went to the general affairs office and called me out of the office.
He beat me and kicked me and dumped all his resentment on me. Two teachers
passing by the college saw what was happening and pulled my father away.
Toward the end of fall and the beginning of the winter of 2001, I printed
and distributed Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. National security
team members from the Wuhua Police Division in Kunming City abducted me on
December 29, 2001. After they had searched my home they sent me to the Wuhua
Detention Center and deprived me of freedom for 30 day. Then they sent me to
the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Yunnan Province for two years of forced
labor.
The guards in the camp tried to brainwash me and tried to reform me. I
was deceived by the guards' hypocritical show of kindness and believed their
lies. I cooperated with the their request. In 2003 I was allowed to serve
half a year of forced labor outside the camp. I returned to the medical
college and was assigned to work in the tree-planting group for six months.
They only paid me 66.14 yuan per month. During the year and a half I was in
the labor camp, the Rear Service Development Center of the medical college
ordered my father to pay 9,012 yuan per year to keep my job seniority. This
was the leading personnel of the medical college taking advantage of my
situation while I was already undergoing a hardship! My father paid the
money out of the income he earned delivering milk for 300-400 yuan per
month. He was told to pay the money in two payments. (Much later somewhat
over 5,000 yuan was returned to us.)
Based on the above facts these are my demands:
The prison guard in the labor camp brainwashed me and forced me to give up my
belief. I complied because I was deceived by their hypocrisy and believed in
their lies. Here I solemnly declare that what I said and wrote are all
completely void. Henceforth, I will closely follow Master Li and firmly
cultivate in Falun Dafa all the way through.
Copies of this appeals document are also being supplied to Yunnan Province
People's Procuratorate, the Yunnan Provincial Government, the Wuhua District
People's Procuratorate, the Guandu District People's Procuratorate, the Macun
Village Police Station, the Guanshang Detention Center, the Haigeng Police
Training Ground, the national security team of the Wuhua Police Division, the
Wuhua Detention Center, the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Yunnan Province and
Kunming Medical College.
