By practitioners from Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 30 and 31, 2004, Falun Gong club at Tsinghua University in Taiwan participated in the Tsinghua Carnival of Knowledge sponsored by the university. Apart from setting up display booth in the campus, the club also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on the main stage and utilized the opportunity to introduce Falun Gong and expose the persecution facts to students and guests.

At the display booth, several practitioners handed out Falun Gong introductory flyers and explained the facts to visitors. They also conducted an activity entitled, "breakthrough", which was warmly receive. During the activity, children who could recite the three words, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" or explain the meaning of the three words would be rewarded with a beautiful bookmark, a paper lotus flower and a balloon imprinted with the words, "The World needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance". Parents would help their children to recite the three words or gave them hints of what the three words meant. Young children thus also learned the meaning of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance". With their parents' help, many children were able to say, "Truthfulness, means that one should be honest, tell the truth, and do things truthfully...", "Compassion means that one should be kind and nice, and be a good person...", "Tolerance refers to being able to endure hardship and forgive others..."

Members of the Falun Gong club also participated in the stage performance. While some practitioners demonstrating the five-set elegant exercises, a practitioner introduced Falun Gong and explained the persecution facts to the audience through microphone. The practitioner introduced the wide spread of Falun Gong in more than 60 countries in the world and also talked about how Jiang's faction, out of its jealousy, has been rampantly suppressing the peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China for over 5 years, which results in hundreds of thousands of practitioners illegally imprisoned and more than 1000 practitioners tortured to death.

During the intervals of demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises, practitioners also played music composed by practitioners with traditional Chinese instruments Erhu and Xiao. When introducing the music, practitioners also added the truth-clarifying contents. For instance, when playing the music entitled, "A song of oddity", practitioners enumerated the suspicious points in the "Tiananmen Square Self-immolation" incident; when playing the music, "Coming for you", practitioners introduced the peaceful appeal by 36 western Falun Gong practitioners on the Tiananmen Square in order to allow people to be awakened from the Jiang group's lies; when playing the music, "Falun Dafa is great", practitioners introduced how Falun Gong has benefited a hundred million practitioners both physically and morally, as well as the fact that more than 1200 proclamations have been issued in different countries to honor Falun Gong.

During the two-day activities, many people from Tsinghua University also stopped by and asked for introductory materials. The university policemen studied the large canvas posters depicting the journey of Falun Dafa. Attendees asked many questions. One lady asked practitioners to give her a copy of the book Falun Gong. She expressed that she would definitely read and treasure it.
