Fearing More Truth-Clarification Phone Calls, Officials at the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp Deactivate Phone Lines

(Clearwisdom.net) The brutal persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners at the Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp prompted many practitioners within China and overseas to telephone the camp to explain the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. The increase in phone calls made the staff of the labor camp very nervous. On October 29, 2004 the direct-dial phone lines in the administrative offices and each division were deactivated. Now, all phone calls have to be routed through a switchboard. The labor camp officials thought they could use this method to prevent the police officers from learning the truth about Falun Dafa, but their effort was in vain.

To the officials' surprise, the deactivation of the direct phone lines caused a stir among the policemen. They were wondering: the authorities always advocate using advanced technology, so why did they go back to using an obsolete system, a switchboard? The officials always said that they trust the police officers. So, why don't they allow the officers to make or receive phone calls?
