Hong Kong Practitioner's Wife Is Illegally Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor In China

(Clearwisdom.net) Hong Kong practitioner Ms. Zhang Lihong, the wife of Kuang Senqia, has been illegally detained and sentenced to three years of forced labor. A representative of the County State Security Bureau in Shenwei City telephoned Zhang Lihong's sister to notify her that Ms. Zhang had been sent to Sanshui City Forced Labor Camp.

Her husband, practitioner Kuang Senqia, provided the following information:

"To verify this news, yesterday I called the head of Shanwei City's County State Security Bureau Li Ziqun. He informed me that the judicial department had sentenced Zhang Lihong to three years of forced labor. When I asked him which law my wife had broken to deserve a sentence of three years forced labor, he was unable to answer.

"They sent out no written notification, there was no formal trial, and my family was not told which law Zhang Lihong had broken. They do not care that Zhang Lihong's life is endangered by a long-term hunger strike. They also disregard the fact that Zhang Lihong has two small children and two older family members who depend on her care.

"This is clearly against the constitution and is an infringement on human rights. I strongly demand that Shanwei City County State Security Bureau release my wife Zhang Lihong immediately and unconditionally."
