By a Falun Dafa Practitioner in Henan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a farmer from Henan province. I am over 70 years old and I never received an education. I had the good fortune to find Falun Dafa in 1998, and I have benefited tremendously.

I personally experienced the magnificence of Falun Dafa. Before I practiced Falun Dafa I was always sick. I was suffering from asthma, and had some problems related to my shoulder and elbow, joint inflammation, and gastric diseases. I was also hunchbacked. The most severe of my problems were asthma and the shoulder and elbow inflammation. I visited many different hospitals, all to no avail. When the symptoms were minimal, it felt like I was catching a cold, with achiness all over my body. I constantly had to catch my breath and could not do much work. When the symptoms were severe, it was painful inside and out. It felt as if every single pore on my body was sucking in air. It was quite painful and I was chilled and coughed a lot. I had medical patches all over my body. I had to wear a coat even during the summer. Sometimes, I even had to turn the heater on.

At that time, I received a copy of Zhuan Falun (1). At first, since I couldn't read, I had to listen to other practitioner's read at the practice site. I followed word by word. Later on, I could read and recite each word. If I encountered an unfamiliar word I would ask about it. Teacher opened up my mind. Now, not only can I read Zhuan Falun from beginning to end, but I can also read other articles by Teacher and articles by practitioners.

Soon after I started practicing, Teacher started purifying my body. I experienced a fever for 7 days. I couldn't drink during that time and was constantly dizzy. On the morning of the 8^th day, I woke up and was hungry. I could get out of bed as well. On that day, there was a local experience sharing conference. I overcame much difficulty and walked one mile to the conference site. I stayed until the conference ended. Many said, "She was so 'sick' during the last few days, but now it's like she's a new person." I said, "I practice Falun Gong, and Teacher saved me." Since then, the tracheitis and all sorts of inflammations were gone. For the first time, I truly experienced what it means to be healthy without any sickness. I am very grateful to Teacher, who gave me a new life. From that day on, I managed to practice everyday.

On the night of August 30, 2004, I once again experienced the magnificence of Falun Dafa and the Teacher's compassion.

We lived in very crude housing. Around 2 a.m. on August 30, I was awakened by a loud bang. I was so frightened that I broke into a cold sweat and I could not move. It was completely dark inside. I thought, "I am a practitioner! I should not be scared!" My husband went to the doorway in the dark but he couldn't open the door. Later people from outside helped us get out by cracking open the door. We were surprised when we came out.

We found out that a 10-meter (approximately 33 feet) electric pole fell onto the right side of our house. A passing trolley truck got entangled with one of the poles and pulled seven other poles down. The pole near our house fell right where we were sleeping, but it was broken into 3 sections. The top section was about 3-meters long, and it fell right on top of our bedroom. The trolley driver and neighbors all ran to our small room, expecting the worst. However, they discovered that the rooftop was completely unharmed; only a few bricks were knocked off. They were all astonished that the crude brick room was unharmed! One of the neighbors said, "There's a Falun Gong practitioner in their house. Their Teacher protected them!" Seeing that we were safe, the driver then calmed down. He said, "Falun Gong is pretty amazing. I want to practice it when I get back." I was moved to tears. I knew that it was Teacher's compassion that saved my life! I often tell people from the bottom of my heart, "Please remember: Falun Dafa is wonderful!"
