Taiwan: Practitioners Invited to Demonstrate Falun Gong at High School Sports Meet (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 12, 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Changhua County were invited to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises at a National Yuan-Lin Agricultural and Industrial Vocational High School sports meet.

This was the third time that Falun Gong was invited by Yuanlin and it was the only community group that was invited. In the opening speech, the schoolmaster Mr. Qiu Rongyi said, "Falun Gong is an exercise that cultivates both mind and body. It can purify the heart, improve health and lift one's moral standard." He also hoped the students to get in touch with Falun Gong practitioners. After the speech, he presented a "Thank-You" certificate to the practitioners.

In the morning sunlight, accompanied by serene and peaceful music, the practitioners demonstrated the exercises. The teachers and students could feel the peaceful and compassionate energy field and gave them warm applause.

After the sporting events started, the practitioners sat on the stage to watch the exciting matches and also passed out paper lotus flowers, bookmarks and experience sharing articles in the cheerleaders' area. They hoped the young students would learn more about Falun Gong after watching the exercise demonstration.

Practitioner Chang said, "After practicing Falun Gong, my bronchitis, neurasthenia and insomnia all went away without any medication. Later, I got rid of more and more bad ideas, mindsets, and my heart was purified. So even though today is not a holiday, I will still participate and let the students to know the merits of Falun Dafa."

The practitioners demonstrated their spirit of selflessness and thinking about others first all the time and in all circumstances.
