Canada: President of B.C. Federation of Labour Jim Sinclair Writes to Minister of Justice in Support of the Lawsuit against the Former President of China

(Cearwisdom.net) On November 12, 2004, the President of British Columbia Federation of Labour, Mr. Jim Sinclair, wrote a letter to Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Irwin Cotler, in Support of Falun Gong Practitioners throughout Canada and their request for an investigation and prosecution of Jiang Zemin and other Chinese officials under the Canadian Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act. Dear Mr. Minister:

I write you in support of Falun Gong practitioners throughout Canada and their request for an investigation and prosecution of Jiang Zemin and other Chinese officials under the Canadian Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act.

I do so in light of the widespread violations of individual human rights, acts of violence and persecution perpetrated against the practitioners of Falun Gong within China.

Given the horrifying facts substantiated by reports from the United Nations, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, I urge you and your government to now pursue justice and international protection on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners.

I look forward to your timely response to this most seriously matter.
