1. [Rushan City, Shandong Province) Wang Zengzuo Recently Arrested Again
On October 19, 2004, Wang Zengzuo was arrested in downtown Rushan City, and is detained at the Rushan Detention Center.
Wang Zengzuo is a 61-year-old resident of Nanbeishan Village, Yuli Township,
Rushan City. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, he was arrested four or five times. To evade the persecution, he was forced to leave home in early 2002, leaving his child alone at home. Mr. Wang's wife passed away in April 1999.
Police officers broke in at night many times in order to arrest him. Once when police officers broke in at midnight, Mr. Wang's daughter asked them for a search warrant. The officers beat the teenage girl until her face was bruised. The girl was traumatized by the beating. She dares not go to sleep before midnight and checks each room with a flashlight before going to bed. She is still not aware that her father is incarcerated, and she is waiting for her father's return.
2. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Police Officers at Liucheng Township Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
In the morning of November 1, 2004, Pan Shi, the head of the Liucheng Township Police Station, and his two officers Zhang Yan and Li Xiaochen, guided by Sun Guocai, the Security Officer of the Yaoeryingzi Village, broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Shujun's store to search it, without presenting any legal documents. The officers took away several Falun Dafa books and audiotapes. Then they forcefully took Mr. Zhao's wife Rong Yulan back to their home, searched it, and took an audio cassette player, a photo of Teacher, and several Falun Dafa books. They tried to take the TV set and computer, but were prevented from doing so by Mr. Zhao's family members. They arrested Rong Yulan and took her to the First Detention Center at Chaoyang City. Zhao Shujun was not arrested because he was not home.
On the afternoon of November 2, Zhang Yan, the deputy head of the township police station, together with police Officer Li Xiaocheng, and two other officers (one man, one woman) went to Mr. Zhao's home again to arrest him. Mr. Zhao managed to escape.

3. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Xixian and His Wife Wang Yueju Abducted and Detained at a Brainwashing Center
On the evening of November 1, 2004, police officers from the Quancheng Street Police Station, which is part of the Lixia Public Security Bureau, broke into Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Xixian's home. Officers took Mr. Zhang's daughter's computer and a typewriter, and arrested the couple. It was reported that Mr. Zhang's wife is detained at the Jinan City "610 Office" brainwashing center located at Liu Changshan.
4. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Ren Xiaojia Sent to a Forced Labor Camp for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
Ms. Ren is a resident of Xihuayuan, Datong City, Shanxi Province. On September 9, 2004, police arrested her as she was distributing truth-clarifying materials at the Mine Management Bureau location and detained her at the Mine District Police Station. Ms. Ren went on a hunger strike and lost consciousness twice. She was sent to the hospital and was diagnosed with heart problems. Five days later, she was released.
On October 19, 2004, around noon, police officers from the Wangcun Mine blocked Ren Xiaojia in front of her dry cleaning shop. Officers locked the door of her shop and arrested her. It was reported that Ms. Ren was sent directly into the Taiyuan Women's Forced Labor Camp for a three-year term. On October 20, police officers asked Ms. Ren's family to pay 140 yuan (1) as a fee for her physical exam, but they refused to pay. Officers also said that if Ms. Ren's family were to pay 30,000 yuan, Ren would be released, otherwise, she would have to serve the three-year term.

5. [Linxi County, Inner Mongolia] 11 Falun Dafa Practitioners Sent to Forced Labor Camp
At present, police officers led by the Linxi County "610 Office" and the Public Security Bureau are arresting practitioners on a large scale. Arrested practitioners include:
Mr. Liu Wei, Ms. Guo Jinlian, Ms. Pan Guizhen, Ms. Liu Shuping, Ms. Liu Yanhua, Mr. Jiang Zhiguo, Ms. Sai Chunfeng, Ms. Yu Shuyan, Ms. Jiang Yanling, Mr. Gao Xuesong, and Ms. Chen Meng. Some of these practitioners have been sent to the Huhehaote City Women's Forced Labor Camp, others remain at the Linxi Detention Center.
During interrogation, police officers did not allow Mr. Gao Xuesong to sleep for two days and nights. Ms. Jiang Yanling was handcuffed at the Linxi Public Security Bureau for three days. She was forced to jump from a building. An internal source says she might be permanently disabled. Ms. Jiang is now in a hospital.

6. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Torture Rendered Mr. Liu Qingshui Blind in One Eye and Deaf in One Ear
Mr. Liu Qingshui is a Falun Dafa practitioner from the Shitouqiaokou District, Wuhan City. In March 2004, he was sentenced to three years in prison and in June he was sent to the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang, Hubei Province. The prison allowed his family only one 15-minute visit in October in which Mr. Liu's family member saw him through glass. Officers said Liu Qingshui is under tight supervision.
As a result of being tortured in the jail, Mr. Liu is currently very thin. He has become blind in one eye and deaf in one ear.
7. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gong Xiuying Arrested on Her Way to Beijing
Ms. Gong Xiuying is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Daqing City. Before the 1st of October, she went to Beijing, but was arrested en route. Ms. Gong has currently been detained for over a month, and it is believed that she has recently been sent to a forced labor camp.
8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Bi Jianhong Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Practitioner Bi Jianhong is from the Zhifou District, Yantai City. On the evening of October 23, 2004, he was arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials at the east suburb of Yantai City. Mr. Bi is still detained in the Xinfu Court of the Xinfushiliu Village, Zhifou District, which is a place used for brainwashing Falun Dafa practitioners. He is being brutally tortured there.
9. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhong Guoyao Arrested and Tortured to the Brink of Death
Mr. Zhong Guoyao is the former president of the Union of the Lihui Construction Company (formerly called Nanchong Construction Company) located on Shiyounan Street. Mr. Zhong was arrested in 2001 by police officers and was sent to a forced labor camp for a one-year term. Police released him after extorting about 10,000 yuan from his family.
Around August 20, 2004, secret agents at the Beigandao vegetable market arrested Mr. Zhong as he was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people there, but the exact time of the arrest and the circumstances are not yet known. What is known is that he is currently being held in the Jialing District Detention Center. Mr. Zhong is very thin and has been tortured to the brink of death.
Recently, police officers shackled and handcuffed Zhong Guoyao. Since October 30, no family visits have been allowed. Mr. Zhong's family members (including his elderly parents, who are in their 80s) now go to the gate of the detention center every day to request the release of Zhong Guoyao. They also go to governmental offices to appeal.
There are still many Falun Dafa practitioners detained in the Jialing District Detention Center.
10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] More Details about Mr. Dai Xueyong's Arrest
Mr. Dai Xueyong is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dongjinma Village. At around 11:30 a.m. on October 26, 2004, Yan Tinggan, the head of the "610 Office" of the Development Zone, together with three other police officers, arrived in a police car and a minivan at Xinzhuang Village. They chased Mr. Dai from his store on the west side of the road to the east side, and arrested him. Many bystanders witnessed Mr. Dai being beaten by the officers. Mr. Dai was taken to a brainwashing center in the Development Zone Industry School. More than ten practitioners are currently being held at the brainwashing center. Officers try to force them to give up Falun Dafa, and try to force them to slander Falun Dafa
Police officers robbed Dai Xueyong of the 1,900 yuan he carried, and Mr. Dai's wife and child, as well as their store, were left unattended.

11. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Mr. Song Peijie Abducted and Detained
At about 7 p.m. in the evening on October 28, 2004, Sun Guichen, the head of the Binhe Police Station, along with several police officers guided by Li Jinhong (former security officer of the Tangjia Village), broke into Mr. Song's home. Officers searched the home by force, taking away Falun Dafa books. Now Song Peijie is detained at the Nongan County Detention Center.

12. [Guanxian County, Shandong Province] Local Practitioners Suffer Police Harassment
On September 29 and 30, almost all of the practitioners in Guanxian County were harassed in different ways, such as being followed, monitored, arrested, had their homes being searched or broken into, locks being picked, etc.
Some practitioners resisted the house searches with stern words. On September 28, 2004, practitioner Mr. Ni Ruxin was arrested. On October 13, 2004, Mr. Qian Shukun, who is a 54-year-old entrepreneur, was working at a construction site, but was arrested by "610 Office" personnel from Liaocheng, under the guidance of the "610 Office" from Guanxian County.

13. [Chongqing City] Ms. Hou Guifang Sent to the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp for Distributing Falun Dafa Flyers
Ms. Hou, in her fifties, is a practitioner from the Shapingba District, Chongqing City.
On July 28, 2004, she was arrested at Chaotianmen by police officers from the Chaotianmen Police Station when she was distributing Falun Dafa flyers. Ms. Hou was detained for 14 days at the Yuzhong District Drug Rehabilitation Center before being sent to the Maojiashan Forced Labor Camp for a one-year term.
14. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yang Ruiwei Arrested While Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials
Mr. Yang, 30 years old, is a practitioner from Suizhong City who lives in Panjin. At 5 p.m. on October 29, 2004, he was arrested at the Xinlongtai Grand Market while distributing truth-clarifying materials.
15. [Yanbian District, Jilin Province] Several Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Zhang Huijie is a practitioner from the Yanji City Cigarette Factory. On the morning of October 27, 2004, two police officers from the Yanji City Public Security Bureau
arrested him at his home. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Liu Wenwen from Yanji City was reported while explaining the truth about Falun Dafa to people at a market. Police officers from the Xishichang Police Station arrested her. According to Ms. Liu's family, police officers asked them for 7,000 yuan to secure her release.
Ms. Yan Caixia is a practitioner from the Tianqiaoling Township. In May 2004, she went to visit her husband's family in Harbin. On her way back, she was arrested at the Mudanjiang Railway Station. She was detained at the Mudanjiang Railway Station Police Station for two months and was then sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center on August 24. After Ms. Yan's arrest, her husband Tian Ronghe, also a practitioner, was arrested at home by police officers and is yet to be released.
16. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yao Shuhui Arrested by the Longhu District "610 Office"
On October 12 and 15, Officers from the Shantou "610 Office" arrested practitioners Ms. Ping Xin and Mr. Bu Yangdong respectively, and searched their homes. Ms. Yao Shuhui was also arrested. The three are all practitioners from the Longhu District. Ping Xin and Yao Shuhui have been sent to a forced labor camp.

17. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Han Li Arrested and Detained at the Dalian City Brainwashing Center
On October 28, 2004, Party Secretary Li and Wang Hong from the Jiao Jinshan Street Office, together with officers from the Shanzhongcun Street Office, went to the hotel where Han Li works. They attempted to force Ms. Han to write a guarantee to give up the practice of Falun Dafa. When Ms. Han refused them, they abducted her and took her to the Dalian City Brainwashing Center. The Center is located in the Huanbao Hotel close to Xinhai Park in the Shahekou District, across the street from the Dalian Medical University. Han Li is detained on the fifth floor of the hotel. She has been on a hunger strike for a few days. Officers have tried to force Ms. Han's family to pay 500 yuan, but her family has refused.
18. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Miss Zhu Shuai Arrested in the Children's Park
Miss Zhu Shuai is 23 years old. She graduated from college in July 2004. Around 2 p.m. on October 31, 2004, Ms. Zhu clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to people at the Changchun Children's Park. She gave an elderly lady a picture with the words "Falun Dafa Is Good" on it. A doorman reported her. Security guards arrested her and brought her to the Minkang Police Station. Four police officers tortured her and coerced her into telling them where the picture came from.
On November 1, 2004, Miss Zhu was sent to the Sankan Detention Center in Changchun City, where practitioners are mistreated.

19. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Facts Concerning the Recent Persecution of Local Practitioners
Several practitioners in Suihua City were arrested recently.
On September 6, 2004, Mr. Zhang Xiaoping was arrested by the Suihua City "610 Office." On September 22, Ms. Xu Lihua, Mr. Kang Bao, Mr. Chen Yingchao, Ms. Li Deqin, Ms. Bai Xia, and Ms. Kong Xiulan were arrested while distributing truth-clarifying materials. They are now detained at the Bayan County Jail.
On September 23, since Ms. Dong Shufen was arrested and 5,000 yuan was extorted from her, she sued Sun Huamin and Li Jianfei from the Beilin District "610 Office." The head of the Suihua City Public Security Bureau gave his approval to arrest Ms. Dong and put her in jail.
