Zhang Chuanyan, a Practitioner from Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province, Died in September 2004 As a Result of the Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Chuanyan, 52 years old, lived in Qingyuan Town of Qingyuan County in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. She began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996.

After the persecution began, Ms. Zhang appealed on behalf of Falun Dafa to the government in Beijing. She was arrested and illegally detained in Qingyuan Detention Center and Fushun Forced Labor Camp for several months. Her body and mind were seriously injured from the inhumane torture she was subjected to. Her breasts, in particular, were painfully swollen.

In October 2000, Qingyuan Town Government officials sent Ms. Zhang to a so-called "education class" (in fact, a brainwashing center) held by the "610 Office." She escaped midway through her illegal detainment. She was, however, abducted again and sent to Qingyuan Detention Center. By that time, the growths on her breasts were already exuding a bloody discharge, but the county police station still insisted on sending Ms. Zhang to the forced labor camp. She was eventually released after her family members strongly requested her release to treat her illness. At home, Ms. Zhang continued to be harassed by Qingyuan Town government officials and community staff day and night. She was unable to live peacefully and was frequently in a panic. On May 23, 2003, plainclothes police officers from the Fushun Police Station suddenly burst into her house and attempted to abduct Ms. Zhang that evening. Fortunately, her family members promptly rushed to her aid and prevented her abduction. But her spirit had suffered a devastating assault, and she grew weaker and weaker. Sadly, Zhang Chuanyan passed away in September 2004.
