Leader Would Rather Pay Bail Money Than Hand People Over for Brainwashing

The leader of a work unit in Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province, has gradually come to understand the truth of Falun Gong and has changed his attitude. Now he does not cooperate with the "610 Office" in persecuting practitioners anymore.

This summer the county "610 Office" asked him to send dozens of practitioners to a brainwashing class, or else he would have to submit bail based on the number of practitioners. The leader told the staff of the "610 Office" without hesitation, "The Falun Gong practitioners in our work unit are all good people. They did not do anything illegal. We will turn in however much money you want."

A practitioner from this work unit was just released from jail. The "610 Office" ordered this leader to send him to the brainwashing class again. The leader firmly refused and advised the people of the "610 Office", "Do not make demands that exceed your authority!" He said he would definitely not cooperate. Finally the "610 Office" could do nothing but ask him to hand in the bail money.
