New York: An Eighty-Three-Year-Old Clarifies the Truth and Calls for an End to the Persecution in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From November 18 to November 23, 2004, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world gathered in Manhattan to hold large-scale activities to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, and to expose and call for an end to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang's faction.

Eighty-three-year-old Ms. Ma Chunpu is from California. On November 20, she participated in the Falun Gong parade and walked down Madison Avenue all the way from 36^th Street to 56^th Street.

Ms. Ma said that she used to have more than ten ailments before she started practicing Falun Gong. Her high blood serum count made blood supply to her brain and heart very difficult, which in turn caused heart disease and pain all over her body. She had three major surgeries within five years. Neither Chinese nor Western medicine nor any Qigong exercise could cure her physical problems. Every day she had to take a handful of pills to ease her pain. Ms. Ma had given up hope for recovery until she was introduced to Falun Gong in 1995. Her illnesses were gone shortly after she started practicing Falun Gong. She experienced a comfort that she had never experienced before. She said in tears, "I thank Falun Dafa for giving me a new life!"

Ms. Ma said Jiang Zemin launched the cruel persecution of Falun Gong out of his personal jealousy. Therefore, she went to New York to tell people about the benefit of Falun Gong and the brutality of Jiang's persecution.

Ms. Ma has been to Germany, France, Iceland, Canada and many big cities throughout the United States for truth-clarification activities. She has three sons living in the United States. One of them is an entrepreneur, another one is a senior engineer, and the third one is a businessman. They all learned about the benefits of Falun Dafa through their mother and financially support her participation in truth-clarification activities. They would never say their mother is doing too much for Falun Gong.

Ms. Ma said, "Manhattan is a major world financial center. I am here to tell the world about the benefits of Falun Gong and to call for all kindhearted people to stand together to stop the persecution."
