Taiwan: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Anniversary Celebration of the National Cheng Kung University (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 11, 2004, Taiwan's National Cheng Kung University celebrated its 93^rd anniversary. A series of activities were conducted. The Extracurricular Activities Division of the Office of the Student Affairs organized an exhibition entitled, "The Third Chinese Traditional Culture Season". The Falun Gong Club of the university was invited to take part in the exhibition. Local practitioners went to the university and shared with students and faculty members the great benefit they have experienced in improving their physical and mental health from the practice of Falun Gong.

A waist drum troupe consists of Falun Gong practitioners performed a program entitled, "Drumbeats Music with Invincible Might" which opened the ceremony. Practitioners' uniform movements and their combined firmness and gentleness displayed a kind of jubilant atmosphere. Many students and faculty members exclaimed with admiration at their marvelous performance.

Practitioners displayed Falun Dafa books and various kinds of truth-clarifying materials on their booth so that people could take and read. They also unfurled a banner with words, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, Falun Dafa is great", which was very eye-catching. In addition to introducing Falun Dafa to people who visited their booth, practitioners also distributed flyers to other booths and introduced the benefits of practicing Falun Gong. Many students were very interested in learning the connotation of the cultivation of Falun Gong. When practitioners described the persecution experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China, students were shocked and condemned Jiang's crimes. Practitioners presented visitors with hand-made paper lotus flowers which had bookmarks with words "Falun Dafa is great" attached. Adults and children all loved the flowers. Some people asked for more information about Falun Gong. The effect was quite good.

In the afternoon, practitioners demonstrated the five-sets of Falun Gong exercises at the performance site. The field was quite harmonious and peaceful. Some students and faculty members quietly sat there and watched the demonstration from the beginning to the end. After the demonstration, a practitioner addressed the audience the Jiang faction's persecution of Falun Gong and called for "bringing Jiang to justice".

The Falun Gong Club of National Cheng Kung University then held a photo exhibition entitled, "Journey of Falun Dafa" in the following week, from November 12 to 17. During the exhibition, a great number of students came to learn about Falun Gong. They took truth-clarifying materials or borrowed Falun Gong books to read. Some visitors asked practitioners to demonstrate the exercises and learned the exercises on the spot. There was a group of students who were practicing dance. When practitioners introduced Falun Gong to them and told them about the persecution encountered by Falun Gong, they seriously listened and expressed their indignation toward Jiang's atrocity. They also expressed their wish to learn more about Falun Gong. One can feel that all kind-hearted people are against Jiang's persecution of Truth-Compassion-Tolerance.
