Do Not Slow Down in Clarifying the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong in January 1999. Prior to practicing, I encountered some difficulties in my marriage, which caused stress and unhappiness in my life, and later caused physical sicknesses. As a result, I suffered greatly and lost the courage to live. In January 1999, a friend introduced the book Zhuan Falun to me at the critical time. I was deeply moved by the truth unveiled in the book, and began my cultivation.

After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, some fellow practitioners slowed down their cultivation, and I also encountered pressure from various sources. But I did not slow down my cultivation, since I was a late starter and I knew I had to keep on studying the Fa and cultivating diligently in order to catch up with the Fa-rectification process. At the time, I didn't know about sending forth righteous thoughts, but I firmly believed in Dafa, and know that it was Dafa that saved me and offered me a new life.

In order to catch up with the Fa-rectification process and save more sentient beings, I distributed a great number of truth clarification materials. I never stopped going out to distribute Dafa materials no matter if it was windy, raining, or snowing.

On one winter day, I saw a lady crossing the street, not noticing an oncoming taxi. I called to the lady in time. She thanked me after she crossed the street safely, so I took the opportunity to tell her that I was a Dafa practitioner, and I handed her a piece of truth clarification material, telling her to read it carefully. Later, I distributed materials to two other people at the grocery market.

Regardless of the severe environment at that time, I was never afraid when giving strangers truth clarifying materials. I kept reminding myself: I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I am clarifying the truth and saving people. Everything should be all right as long as I keep my righteous thoughts and righteous deeds. This helped me to not be afraid when distributing Dafa materials.

In order to more effectively clarify the truth, we need to tailor our methods of truth clarification for different audiences. For example, one day I went to a park with a fellow practitioner and met two young men. After greeting them, I found a common topic and then naturally turned the conversation towards discussing Falun Gong. This way it was easier for them to listen to me. That day, a fellow practitioner and I clarified the truth face to face with seven strangers, and I was really happy for it.

Though compared to the thousands and millions of people waiting for us to clarify the truth to them, seven people is really a small number. But if every practitioner could consistently clarify the truth like this, the result would be great.

Recently I clarified the truth to a hair stylist when I went to a beauty salon. At first she did not want to listen, but she eventually listened and believed me. I was very happy that one more person learned the truth.

We should all do well the three things Master told us to do (1), and make more people understand the truth about Dafa. As long as we keep our righteous thoughts, do righteous deeds, and believe in Master and Dafa, no one can interrupt us. Everything is so simple when we let go of our human thinking and attachments. Cultivation depends on our own efforts, while the result is up to Master.
