Germany: Successful Falun Dafa Information Day in Dusseldorf (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) For several years, Falun Gong practitioners from Dusseldorf and nearby cities have held Falun Dafa Information Days and other activities. On Saturday October 23, 2004, after careful planning by Dusseldorf practitioners, a Falun Dafa Information Day was held again in a city center square, located in the busiest commercial area adjacent to King's Avenue. Practitioners from nearby cities also came to join.

Our information desk was placed near the main entrance of a subway station. This Saturday, there was an international commercial exposition taking place nearby and it was busier than most weekends. The streets were crowded and people flooded by in waves.

Many visitors viewed our information desk, watched the exercise demonstrations, read the display boards carefully, listened to practitioners' explanation of Falun Gong and what was happening in China and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

When practitioners were demonstrating the five Falun Gong exercises, a reporter from one of the local newspapers appeared. He was passing by with his camera and was attracted by the exercise demonstrations. He took shots of the demonstration and information desk for over ten minutes before he left.

Practitioners cooperated well in order to make all the activities of the information day a success. In this metropolitan city there were many ethnic groups speaking a variety of languages. The practitioners overcame this by talking to people in German, Chinese, English, Japanese, as well as Russian, and distributing leaflets in different languages.
