Mr. Wu Quanyi, Deputy Secretary of the Baicheng City People's Committee, Dies as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wu Quanyi, former deputy secretary of the People's Committee of Baicheng City was arrested on September 15, 2001 by officers from the Changqing Police Precinct, Taobei District, Baicheng City. (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/9/24/14116.html)

On October 29, 2001, Mr. Wu was sentenced to three years of forced labor, and during his detention he suffered greatly both physically and mentally. He escaped while on medical parole and was forced to become homeless until he died on March 6, 2004 at age 52.
