The Healing Power of Falun Dafa: Three Stories

My name is Hu Baoqiang, and I live in Bazhou City, Hebei Province. Before I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1997, I had suffered many serious diseases, such as necrosis of the left-lung and pulmonary tuberculosis, which progressed to lymph-node tuberculosis. My health deteriorated to the point that I became blind, my lower limbs became numb, and all of my toes turned black and rotted away. The doctor diagnosed my symptoms as incurable poisoning from excess medication.

Miraculously, all of my symptoms vanished after practicing Falun Dafa for ten days. Friends and relatives agreed, "Falun Dafa must be good, for it gave Hu Baoqiang a second life." Many of them started to practice Falun Gong as well.

Because of terrible pressure since the start of the persecution in 1999, I stopped practicing Falun Dafa--then my symptoms resurfaced. The doctor deemed my disease terminal. At that time, one thought came to mind:

"Having heard the Dao in the morning, one can die in the evening." ("Melt into the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement)

I decided to return to practicing Falun Dafa. Once again, my life was restored.

In doing the Three Things">Three Things that Teacher requested, we should also rectify our home environments. A year ago, my elderly mother was in poor health. I told her to recite "Falun Dafa is good," and she did so daily. Within a month, her health significantly improved. She exclaimed, "Dafa is truly miraculous!" I replied, "If you practice Falun Gong, you will get even better." I began to read Zhuan Falun to her every day. She is persistent in practicing from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. every night.

Now she is healthy and has not needed any medicine for more than a year. She can take care of herself and never feels tired. The improvements my mother experienced from practicing Falun Dafa influenced all my relatives. For example, my older brother and sister-in-law have started to read Zhuan Falun.

In early 1999, my 76 year-old mother suffered severe pain, and her left leg became paralyzed. Doctors at three major hospitals in Jilin and Changchun diagnosed her illness as thighbone necrosis. They concluded, "At present there is no medicine to cure this disease. Your mother is too sick to survive the surgery."

In May of 1999, I decided to practice Falun Dafa, which cured my gastric disease. I introduced Falun Dafa to my mother. At the time, she had difficulty standing up, so it was very hard for her to do the exercises. Although some of her movements were not correct, my mother was sincere in learning Falun Dafa. Shortly after, she could sit and stand with ease, and she regained the feeling in her left leg. Her remarkable recovery surprised everyone. She also was able to meditate in the half lotus position.

Falun Dafa cured my mother's thighbone necrosis. She has persisted in studying the Fa, doing exercises, and assimilating to the principles of Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance daily. She also clarifies the facts of Falun Dafa to many people. Thanks to Dafa, she can now walk freely.
