Recently, the Fuzhou City 610 Office and the Public Security Department again arrested Falun Gong practitioners, and took them to brainwashing sessions.

Practitioner Mr. Wong Qun, 18, a student at Fuzhou City Electronic Professional School, who lived in Room 702, Building 12 at Aofeng Living District, was arrested on the morning of October 21.

On October 22, while Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chen Fen, a nurse, was at work at Fuzhou City Second Hospital, Ji'an District Public Security personnel attempted to arrest her. With other people's help, Chen Fen escaped. Currently, she is homeless and unable to return to work.

Ms. Dong Shuzhen works at the Sixth Oiling Factory of Daqing. Sometime in mid-September 2004, she traveled with her sister to Beijing by train. On the way back home, the train police detained her for reading a Falun Gong book on the train. Staff from her local police station escorted her back and sent her to Daqing Detention Center. It is rumored that they intend to sentence her to three years of forced labor. Further information will be provided when available.

On November 17, 2004, at around 3:00 p.m., Song Zonghua clarified the truth of Falun Gong and the persecution at his drug store. The head of the Public Security Bureau sub-branch Meng Xiangmin brought police to arrest and take him to Hongmei Town Public Security Bureau. Currently, Song Zonghua is detained at Meihekou City Detention Center.

On November 15, 2004, around 4:30 p.m., Ms. Duan Songping (not a local practitioner) was clarifying the truth in an office building at Xilinhaote City Professional School, Inner Mongolia. Staff member Chen Shaoguo from the Student Management Section of the Medical Department reported her to police. The police from Xilinhaote City Public Security Bureau of Inner Mongolia arrested her. It is rumored that she was transferred from the Public Security Bureau to Ximeng National Security Brigade.

On April 8, 2004, the Public Security Bureau at Xuhui Branch arrested and detained 29-year-old Mr. Shan Donghui for distributing Truth-Clarifying CDs in the Xuhui District of Shanghai. On the evening of April 11, 2004, the temporary apartment of his wife, Ms. Wang Yinling, was ransacked, and she was taken to a detention center. The police confiscated over 5,000 truth-clarifying CDs, a CD burner, and a computer. The police would not allow the couple's relatives to visit them in detention.

On the morning of October 29, 2004, Ms. Ai Juying, Ms. Wu Wenying, Ou Yang, and others went to Jiangli Village, Nanjing Town, Leiyang in Hunan Province to clarify the truth of Falun Gong and tell people about the persecution. The National Security Brigade of the Public Security Bureau ordered personnel from the Nanjing Police Station to arrest the practitioners.

Only one practitioner escaped successfully. The other three practitioners were taken to the National Security Brigade. The brigade head, Liu Hongcheng, interrogated, threatened, and cursed at the practitioners. At around 10:00 p.m., the practitioners were taken to Leiyang Detention Center. Most people at the detention center are good people. The three detained practitioners are older ladies, and the detention center refused to accept them. The National Security Brigade asked for advice from higher authorities. Eventually Ou Yang was sent home, and Ai Juying and Wu Wenying are detained at Leiyang Detention Center.

On November 7, practitioner Zeng Zhaoqing was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people at a farmers' market. The police abducted her and took her to the Leiyang Detention Center. The police claimed that before releasing her, she had to pay a 5,000 yuan fine.

Wang Yingsen is from Xiaoluoding Village, Houjia Town, Wendeng City of Shandong Province. On October 16, 2004, police from Houjia and Songcun Police Station arrested him. A roughneck policeman hit Wang Yingsen's knee cruelly with the handcuffs, in front on onlookers. They beat Mr. Wang to the ground and carried him to the police car. The onlookers were enraged about the police brutality. Because Mr. Wang maintained righteous thoughts, with his family and relatives' help, he was released.

In March 2002, Changchun City authorities, ordered by the 610 Office, launched a large-scale arrest of Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Wang Guiqing's home was ransacked, and she was sentenced to two and a half years forced labor. After she had served her term, the authorities sent her to a brainwashing center for further persecution, because she refused to renounce Falun Gong.

On November 16, 2004, the director of the District Community Committee visited Liu Shuang's store. When the director realized that the store carried Falun Gong books, he searched the entire store, confiscated all Falun Gong books, and arrested Liu Shuang. Mr. Liu was taken to the police station. Liu Shuang is detained at Shijiahetao Detention Center where he is on a hunger strike protesting the persecution.

Ms. Liu Rongzhen is from Shahe City. Before she began practicing Falun Dafa, she had poor health, and suffered from a number of diseases. Nothing could cure her. But after she began practicing Falun Gong, all the disease symptoms disappeared. She now fully believed in the power of Falun Dafa. Therefore, she wanted to tell people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong. On November 16, 2004, at around 10:00 p.m., Liu Rongzhen's home was ransacked, and furniture and daily necessities were destroyed. Currently, Liu Rongzhen is detained at Shahe City Detention Center.

On October 5, 2004, while Ms. Zhu Dongdi was visiting at a fellow practitioner's home, the police stopped her at the door and searched her. She was found to have Falun Gong materials. The police sent her to Huangpu District Detention Center. Her family asked many times for her release, but the police told them that she would be sentenced.

Ms. Liang Guanying and Ms. Xi Xindi are from Zizhuyuan District of Beijing. Ms. Xi Xindi lives in building 25, Courtyard 28, Wangshousi. On around November 10, the Xiangshan Police Station police arrested the two practitioners while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials about Falun Gong at the Beijng Botanical Garden at Xiangshan.

On October 4 or 5, 2004, Ms. Cong Jinrong, an older lady from Jinzhou District of Dalian City, was arrested at her home. She was sentenced to three years of forced labor and sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

A month prior, Cong Jinrong posted a self-made banner with the words "The World Brings Jiang to Justice." Later, police from Longwangmiao Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home, confiscating all Falun Gong books and materials. The police even used the Internet to search for information. The police released Ms. Cong using the excuse that "her relatives spoke for her to the police." But in fact, the police secretly monitored and followed her. They wanted to discover the practitioner(s) who were making the truth clarifying materials about Falun Gong. Around October 4 or 5, when the police arrested Cong Jinrong, they showed her the photos they had taken while following her.

On September 28, 2003, the team leader of the Third Area of Dalian Prison, Xiao Baoling, ordered criminal Li Zhen to torture practitioner Qu Bing. Xiao Baoling ordered criminals Liu Fei and Ren Liangliang to strip Qu Bing. Xiao then tortured and insulted Qu Bing for nearly three hours, and the prison management took no action concerning Xiao's criminal behavior. They instead encourage officers like Xiao to torture practitioners.
