Taiwan: Introducing Falun Dafa at the Anniversary Celebration of the Ford Motor Company (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 28, 2004, the Taiwan Ford Liu Ho Motor Company held a grand garden party at Puhsin Farm in Yangmei to celebrate the 32^nd anniversary of the company and promote their new car, Focus. The sponsors invited the company's Falun Gong Society to join the celebration and set up a stand at the entrance to the garden. Falun Gong practitioners presented graceful exercises demonstrations and distributed Falun Gong truth clarification materials to nearly 7,000 employees and their families, so that more people could have an opportunity to learn that "Falun Dafa is good."

That day the sun was shining brightly. Streams of people who entered the garden could see Falun Gong practitioners peacefully demonstrating the exercises on the lawn, and banners reading "Falun Dafa is good." Some practitioners distributed truth-clarifying materials, and some practitioners shared with visitors their experiences of improving their physical and mental health by practicing Falun Gong. Many people came up to our stand to request informational materials and VCDs. Some people stood beside practitioners and followed along with the exercises. A woman said she once practiced the exercises but did not read the book, Zhuan Falun. The practitioners then shared with her their understanding of cultivation by following the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Some people said they felt very relaxed and enjoyed the practitioners' peaceful exercises in the warm sunshine.

The Falun Gong Society was set up in the company three years ago, and there are many touching stories behind its establishment. Mr. Wang (one of the volunteer coordinators of the society) is the manager of engineering and machinery at Ford. Between 1997 and 2000, he began feeling some discomfort. Later, his voice became feeble and low; he looked pale and weary and his spirits were low. He was even sent to the hospital for emergency treatment from work because he suddenly became ill one day and vomited blood. The doctor diagnosed him with cirrhosis of the liver, and told him he had less than six months to live. A Falun Gong practitioner in the company introduced him to the exercises and presented him with a copy of Zhuan Falun. Mr. Wang and his wife began practicing Falun Gong, and his health improved rapidly. The doctor was amazed at his rapid recovery, and his colleagues also were happy for him. With the support of leaders and colleagues, and in order to provide an opportunity for employees to get to know about Falun Gong, Mr. Wang and the practitioner who introduced him to Falun Gong established a Falun Gong group in the company. Mr. Wang said with a smile while being interviewed, "The doctor told me I could only live for six months, now I've been living for eight and a half years!" Falun Gong has also given him a healthy and happy family. The six members of his family all practice Falun Gong, and they can be seen at many activities introducing Falun Gong to the public. Though he is about to retire, Mr. Wang can still work efficiently. All this became possible after he learned Falun Gong.

Tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners have experiences similar to Mr. Wang. Falun Gong truly benefits people and society; however, in China, Jiang's regime brutally persecutes Falun Gong. We believe that more and more people will see through the irrational and evil nature of the persecution, and the international community will become more clear about the truth, stand with the Falun Gong practitioners and call for an end to the persecution. Practitioners believe this bright and wonderful day is about to come!
