My name is Gao Cuilan. I am 37 years old and I am a Falun Gong practitioner. On June 3, 2002, I was arrested while working in the Lingbei Coal Mine. On June 4, I was sent to the Second Detention Center of Hegang City, where I was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. On February 20, 2004, several guards led by the head of Group Seven, Mu Zhenjuan, cruelly beat Dafa practitioners. Two front teeth of Li Guiqin were broken and her face was covered with blood as she was cruelly beaten. A policeman shocked me with electric batons and beat and kicked me until I had a recurrence of a heart attack. During this time, Xu Xianghua also had a recurrence of a heart attack and lost consciousness. He is currently still suffering from serious heart disease. The electric shock that I suffered created a big black and red bruise on my leg.

Zhang Guiyan got a black and red bruise on her face when she was cruelly kicked in the face. After being handcuffed for a long time, Zhang Qingjiao was disabled, and is still unable to lift her arms. Li Guiqin became so weak from abuse that she needed support from others to walk. Cheng Xiuling was handcuffed for five days while being deprived of sleep.

Liang Jingli is a Dafa practitioner from the Yongqiang Village, Chaoyang Town, Zhaozhou County, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. His father is 60 years old and supports Falun Gong, even though he does not practice. On July 22, 2004, three policemen led by Sun Guoming, the head of the local police station of Chaoyang Town, went to arrest Liang Jingli. At the time his elderly father clarified the truth of the persecution against Falun Gong and asked them to stop committing bad things, for which he was illegally detained by those policemen for fifteen days.

Practitioner Ms. Huang Laiyu, 65, was from Dadong Village, Tongxian Town, Shanghang County, Fujian Province. She had been illegally detained in the Detention Center of Shanghang County two times because she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong twice. During the detention, Ms. Huang was badly injured both physically and mentally. One day in May 2002, not long after she was released, Huang Laiyu passed away, to everyone's great sorrow.

A certain policewoman, Jia Wanyun, from the Beijing Women's Labor Camp, cruelly and forcibly overworked Dafa practitioners while they performed slave labor. The victims included young girls less than 18 years old and those as old as 70. Many Dafa practitioners who had been in good health after practicing Falun Gong were so badly persecuted at the labor camp that they suffered from various diseases. The wicked policewoman, 40-year-old Jia Wanyun, was the former head of Group Seven at the Beijing Women's Labor Camp. A lot of practitioners suffered from her long-term persecution, as she stopped at nothing in persecuting them.

5. Retired Official Zhu Xianshu from Leshan City, Sichuan Province Passed Away in 2002

Zhu Xianshu, 72, was a retired political employee from the Sichuan Paper Mill in the central district of Leshan City, Sichuan Province. He had suffered from many diseases before he started Falun Dafa practice. When he went to the Falun Gong practice site for the first time he showed symptoms typical of old age dementia. He couldn't stand up steadily and required support from others. After he learned and practiced Dafa, these symptoms disappeared. He told the other practitioners at the practice site that he no longer suffered from any pains, and that all the diseases had gone away. However, Mr. Zhu was persecuted by Jiang's regime after July 20, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Dafa began. He was frequently forced to go through brainwashing sessions and threatened by the local Shawan police station and the security section, political section, and the Communist Party branch of his work unit. They forbade him from practicing Falun Gong and confiscated all his Falun Dafa materials. Since then, Zhu Xianshu suffered great mental pressure and didn't dare practice Falun Gong. He sadly died in September 2002.
