Practitioner Mr. Wang Jihong is currently detained in Changying Detention Center (run by the Chaoyang District Police Department). Wang has been on five hunger strikes during his detention. He will appear in the Chaoyang District Court this coming Friday. However, the court has banned other practitioners from the courtroom.

Around 7 p.m. on November 13, 2004, when practitioner Li Xiurong was riding her bike near the city's Milk Company, two milk company guards, Li Wei and Li Guang, abducted Li and then contacted the local police station. Currently, Li Xiurong is being held in the city's detention center.

In October 2004, Ms. Hu Wenjing from Zhengzhou City talked about the true nature of Falun Gong to a tour guide while she was sightseeing in Guilin City, Guangxi Province. The tour guide reported Ms. Hu to the local police. After her arrest, Hu was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. Hu is most likely being held in Yangshuo City, Guangxi Province.

On October 28, 2004, while talking about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Yuan Shouchun, a student at the Tianjin Light Industry Technology Institute, was reported to the police by someone who overheard what Yuan was talking about. Police from Xiqing District Police Department arrested Yuan and have been holding him in the detention center.

Ms. Liu Cuiyu is a 52-year-old Falun Gong practitioner and retiree from the Ziyang Locomotive Plant. On the morning of November 18, 2004, while Ms. Liu was posting some information about the true nature of Falun Gong on Songtao Bridge in Ziyang City, she was arrested by the local police. Officers from the police station and the security office of the of Ziyang Locomotive Plant illegally ransacked Liu's home and took away her Falun Dafa books.

On the afternoon of October 20, 2004, Ms. Liu Yuxiu and Ms. Liu Yuhong, both residents of Cangfu Street in the Xinzhou District of Wuhan City, went to a nearby village to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Someone reported them to the Cangfu Police Station. Police officers immediately went to arrest the two practitioners. Liu Yuxiu was arrested and is currently detained in Wuhan Women's Detention Center. Liu Yuhong escaped with the help of her righteous thoughts. After the police searched for her for about two hours, they went to her home to ransack the place, hoping to arrest her there. However, Liu Yuhong managed to evade them again with righteous thoughts.

On July 28, 2004, Ms. Yang Hongyan, a practitioner from Duyun City, was tortured to death at Zhongba Farm. Around 10 p.m. on August 29, 2004, after practitioner Ms. Tan Yulian (a resident of Duyun City) went to offers condolences to her fellow practitioner's family, seven police guards, led by Yan Ronggui, arrived at Ms. Tan's home in three police vehicles. The perpetrators ransacked Tan's home and tried to arrest her. However, Tan escaped because of her righteous thinking. The police took away some truth-clarifying materials printed from the Minghui website, the Chinese version of the Clearwisdom website.

In order to avoid further harassment, Tan Yulian rarely went to her home. On the third day after August 29, Tan ran into director Wang of the Guanghui Road Residential Committee around 6 p.m.. Wang tricked Tan into going home and then immediately called the local police station. The police officers arrived at Tan's home at 8 p.m. to arrest her. Tan escaped again with the help of her righteous thoughts. The police then ransacked Tan's home and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun.

After that night, Tan had no choice but to leave her home and travel from place to place to avoid the constant harassment. On September 29, 2004, Tan was identified by someone, who then called the police. The police arrested Tan, charging her with "disturbing public order" and detained her in the Drug Rehabilitation Institute in the Duyun Soy Sauce Plant for two weeks. After she was released, Tan's children were sent a bill of 150 yuan to cover the cost of her living expenses during her detention.

Ms. Zhuang Huaxian is in her fifties. One of her family members works for the Zhanjiang Port Bureau. Before Zhuang started to cultivate Falun Dafa, she suffered from many diseases such as bone proliferation, heart disease, and anemia, and she was a paraplegic as well. After she started practicing Falun Dafa, all her diseases disappeared, and she became a healthy person.

In the beginning of 2000, in order to validate her belief in the principles of Falun Dafa, Zhuang went to a park to do the Falun Gong exercises with other practitioners. The police arrested her and detained her for a while. Because she refused to give up her belief and continued to talk about the persecution of Falun Gong to the public, Zhanjiang City's 610 Office and police department added her name to a "blacklist." The 610 Office ordered the Zhanjiang City Police Department to follow and monitor her closely.

Zhuang was thus forced to leave her home and move from place to place to avoid the continual harassment. On the evening of October 29, 2004, while she was distributing materials that give facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in a residential area, the police followed and then arrested her. The perpetrators confiscated and did not return her cell phone and purse. Inside the purse, they found the key to her friend's home. The perpetrators went to the friend's home, ransacked 'the place, and took away some truth-clarifying materials.

Currently, Zhuang Huaxian is being held at the Zhanjiang Harbor Police Department Detention Center and has been tortured.

Mr. Wang Yingyang is an employee of Cang County Cotton and Hemp Company in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. While visiting his wife's (Ms. Chen Junying) parents, who live in the No. 10 Village of Qinghan Town, Gucheng County, Hengshui Area, Hebei Province, Wang was helping his brother-in-law with the farm work on the afternoon of November 18, 2004. While they were working, Zhai Hongjun and some other guards from the Gucheng County Police Department arrested Wang and ransacked the home of Chen's parents. The perpetrators took Wang back to Cangzhou City and continued to harass him there. They also searched for Wang's wife Chen Junying, forcing her to stay away from her home.

Mr. Sun Renqi is the Vice Director of the Federal Tax Bureau of Liuhe County. On September 6, 2004, Sun and his wife Jing were arrested while they were distributing materials that describe the true nature of Falun Gong and the persecution of practitioners. Both of them were sentenced to three years of forced labor. Sun Renqi is being held in the No. 4 Group of Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City, and Sun Jing is in the No. 4 Group of Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City. Their 17-year-old daughter is now left to fend for herself.

On the morning of November 20, 2004, when Ms. Gao Jinfang (35, an employee of Zhucheng City Foreign Trade Company) and Ms. Sun Guihua (69, a resident of Taojialing, Zhucheng City) were telling people the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in Xialiugu Village, Huanghua Town, Zhucheng City, someone reported them to the Huanghua Town Police Station. Officers from the police station then arrested the two practitioners. During the arrest, a bus driver asked the police why they were arresting the two women. The officers then arrested the driver. Guards from the Zhucheng City Police Department took the three people back to Zhucheng City and have detained them in the Zhucheng City Detention Center ever since.

The "Latest News from China -- November 12, 2004" reported practitioner Ms. Wei Guiqin's arrest by the police. Currently, Wei is detained in the Siping City Detention Center. It is said that officials are planning to sentence Wei to three to seven years in jail.

Four practitioners from Xiong County, Hebei Province, were arrested on November 16, 2004. The practitioners are: Ms. Lan Fen (from Wangjiafang Village), Ms. Jin Feng (from Nantantai Village), Wang Wei (a teacher at Xiong County High School), and another practitioner whose name is not known. The Xiong County 610 Office sent the four practitioners directly to the "Baoding Law Education Center," a brainwashing center.

Ms. Du Shuhui is in her fifties. She is an employee of Nanyang City Ironware Company, and she lives in the residential area of the No. 3 Storage Area of Nanyang Cigarette Company. On the morning of November 22, 2004, police guards from the State Security Group overseen by the Wancheng District Police Department arrested Du. The perpetrators ransacked Du's home, took Falun Dafa books, and robbed her of some audio tapes and a color TV.

Ms. Wang Fengqin is 60 years old. She was arrested for revealing the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong around November 18, 2004. Ms. Wang is currently detained in the No. 1 Detention Center of Nanyang City, also known as Shangzhuang Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Chai Jingfang from Maanshan City, Anhui Province, was arrested on November 5, 2004. She was released on November 17. A few days later, she was arrested again. According to a reliable source, eight local practitioners have been arrested recently.

On the afternoon of November 22, 2004, some perpetrators arrested practitioner Ms. Zhang Liying and ransacked her home.

Ms. Duan Liying is a teacher in her thirties. She works at the kindergarten inside the North Design Institute. Because Duan gave her colleague Gao Yurong a VCD of the movie "Sandstorm" that reveals facts about the persecution of Falun Gong, the colleague reported Duan Liying to her manger. The manager demanded that Duan write a "repentance letter." When Duan refused, the manager informed the local police station. The police ransacked Duan's home, and then took her to the Hebei Province Brainwashing Center on October 27, 2004. This is the second time Duan has been sent to the brainwashing center.

Practitioner Li Jianxu is a senior citizen who lives in Dalian City. At 9 p.m. on November 2, 2004, while he was telling people about the persecution and the true nature of Falun Gong near Zhoushuiziqian, Li was arrested by officers from the local police station, the Zhoushuiziqian Police Station. The next day, Li was sent to the Dalian City Detention Center, where he was tortured in an effort to get him to relinquish his beliefs and renounce Falun Gong.

Before her arrest in Cang County, practitioner Ms. Liu Shuzhen had been forced to stay away from her home since November of this year to avoid constant harassment and repeated arrests. After the arrest, the perpetrators forced her to attend a brainwashing session in Cangzhou City, then transferred her back to her hometown in Yanshan County.

On the morning of November 22, 2004, Ms. Xing Xiuhua, who lives in the residence building of the Yanshan County Environmental Protection Bureau, was arrested by the police. The persecutors ransacked Xing's home, confiscating many Faun Dafa books and materials that give facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.

On October 29, practitioner Ms. Cheng Jinqin was arrested by Zhang Xinping from the Political Protection Section of Yanshan County Police Department. Cheng was sent to a forced labor camp in Tangshan City.

On the morning of November 24, 2004, when Ms. Song Dongxue and Ms. Zhang Suling, both from Puji Town, Zhangqiu City, were distributing fliers that supply facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in Xianggongzhuang Town, the local police arrested the two practitioners after receiving a tip from someone.

On November 23, 2004, officers from the Puji Town Police Station illegally searched the 'women's homes. The two practitioners are currently detained at the Zhangqiu City Police Department.

Practitioner Ms. Ou Yuanxiu is a resident of Caowei Town, Yuanjiang City. On November 2, 2004, the local police suddenly arrived at her home. They arrested Ou and ransacked her home. The persecutors then transferred Ou to Yuanjiang City Detention Center, where she is still being held. Members of Ou's family went to the detention center three times but were refused permission to see her.

Around 2:30 a.m. on September 23, the police abducted Ms. Wu Lanxiang, about 60 years old and a resident of Zhongwu Village in Sijiqing Town, Haidian District, Beijing, from her home. Because the police had found some materials describing the persecution of Falun Gong in her home, they sentenced Wu to two years in jail. The perpetrators who arrested Wu include people from the Beijing City Police Department, the Haidian District Police Department, and the Sijiqing Police Station.

Ms. Lin Xiuying is a practitioner from Tianjin City. She is about 50 years old. She moved to Zhongwu Village to take care of her parents. Around noon on September 23, 2004, she heard someone slandering Falun Dafa in a grocery store. The practitioner then described some facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to that person and twice said, "Falun Dafa is good." A few days later, Ms. Li was arrested at her parent's home. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Mr. Li Jinzhong is a resident of Xiaonan Village in Gongyi City. Around 9 p.m. on July 10, 2004, when he was letting people know the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, someone reported him to the Daobei Police Station in Gongyi City. Guards from the police station arrested Mr. Li and transferred him to the State Security Group.

On July 12, the State Security Group of Gongyi City sent Li to the Gongyi City Detention Center, where Li was detained for several days. The State Security Group then sent Li to Baimiao Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City for an 18-month term. Currently, Li Jinzhong is detained in the No. 2 Team of the labor camp.

On October 30, 2004, two practitioners from Dadian Village, Guilin Town, Linzhou City, were arrested in their homes. On the evening of October 19, 2004, the local Security Group arrested four other practitioners from the same village. The six practitioners are currently being detained in the Linzhou City Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Xu Jianxin is a resident of Qibao Town in the Minxing District of Shanghai City. Around midnight on September 19, 2004, when Xu was in his home, someone phoned him, and he went out. At 3 a.m., about three hours after he left home, officers from the No. 803 Police Team of Shanghai City arrested him. Xu is currently being detained in the Minxing District Detention Center.

Around midnight on November 21, 2004, the police went to Fengshengbao Village in the Qianshan District of Tiexi, Anshan City, and arrested a female practitioner. The practitioner is between 60 and 70 years old. It is said that she had been forced to leave her home in Shengousi District and remain homeless in Fengshengbao Village to avoid police harassment.

Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhai Shenyi, Sun Yun, Wang Yiben, and Tan Yunjiang are employees of the Lingzi Coal Mine, which is under the jurisdiction of the Zichuan District Mine Bureau in Zibo City. About three weeks ago, while the four practitioners were studying the Falun Gong teachings in their homes, the coal mine security guards locked the doors of the practitioner's homes from the outside until the police arrived to arrest them. The Liuquan Police Sub-department in the Zichuan District sent the four practitioners to two detention centers: Zhai Shenyi, Wang Yiben, and Tan Yunjiang were sent to the Linchuan Detention Center, and Sun Yun was sent to the Zibo City Detention Center. They have been in detention for over 20 days.

Practitioner Jia Xuequn is a teacher at the No. 34 Middle School of Daqing City. Jia is in charge of the seventh grade's No. 3 class. After Jia played a video that showed how the "self-immolation" incident was staged on Tiananmen Square a few years ago to her students, police guards from the State Security Group of the Ranghu Road Police Sub-department arrested Jia on the afternoon of September 29, 2004. One month later, she was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

The police arrested practitioners Ms. Dai Yali and Ms. Zhang Suyan on October 20, 2004. After Dai had been detained for 15 days, she escaped with the help of her righteous thoughts. At 1:30 p.m. on November 22, 2004, Dai was arrested again. Those participating in her arrest were: the Panjin City State Security Group, the Panjin City Police Department, the Hongqi Police Station, and the Public Security Division of Dai's work unit, the No. 1 Pipeline Company of Panjin City.

The police confiscated a computer, some Falun Dafa books, and some truth-clarifying materials while ransacking Dai's home. Dai Yali's current whereabouts are unknown.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Guiqin is a resident of Shiwen Town in Fushun City. She was arrested by the police for revealing facts about the persecution of Falun Gong around November 11, 2004. Wang is now being held in the Fushun City Detention Center.

Falun Gong Practitioners Zhang Yu and Xing Shuguang are a married couple living in the Yiyuan Residential Area of Manzhouli City. On November 24, 2004, guards from the Hezuo District Police Department, which is overseen by the Manzhouli City Police Department, arrested the couple in their home around 5 a.m. At that time, most of their neighbors were still asleep. The police also illegally ransacked their home twice, including the room of Zhang Yu's elderly parents who live with the couple.

Practitioner Mr. Yang Xiaohai is a resident of Naizishan Town, Jiaohe City. A few months ago, he was arrested and detained in the Jiaohe City Detention Center. He later escaped with righteous thoughts. On November 22, 2004, the police arrested him again. Yang's current whereabouts are unknown.

On November 9, 2004, guards Ren Fei and Yu Hongtao from the Tongtan Police Station of the Changyi District Police Department went to practitioner Liu Yaxiang's home. The two perpetrators tricked the practitioner into opening the door for them and then ransacked Liu's home. They took away some Falun Dafa books, truth-clarifying materials, and Liu's personal address book.

The police also arrested a 49-year-old practitioner from her home and sent her to the No. 3 Detention Center of Jilin City.

Ms. Cheng Guiyun, 47, was made to leave her job because she practices Falun Gong. In August 2002, the police ransacked her home and arrested her. The perpetrators then detained her in a confinement cell and interrogated her. For four days in a row, Cheng was not allowed to sleep. Two guards from the State Security Group of Shiyan City beat her brutally. As a result, her body was covered with black bruises, and her left kneecap was fractured. Cheng was then sentenced to one year of forced labor. Cheng was released at the end of her term.

Since August 2004, Zhang Dongsheng and Qin Yuntong from the local 610 Office and Chief Wang Shoufeng of the city police department often went to Cheng Guiyun's home to try to force her to write the four "Guarantee Statements" agreeing to give up Falun Gong. As a result, Cheng left her home and traveled from place to place for four months. However, the police still go to Cheng's home and try to force Cheng's family members to turn her in.

Ms. Liu Xiangdong is a high school teacher. The local 610 Office and police department have detained her for a month. The perpetrators had previously detained Liu in brainwashing centers for two months and extorted 5000 yuan from her. In January 2002, the 610 Office tried to force Liu to attend a brainwashing session again. Liu left her home and went from place to place for two years to avoid being persecuted. Her whereabouts are still unknown.

Ms. Wu Guizhi is a teacher at Heping Primary School. On November 22, 2004, six police guards from the Chengbei Police Station arrested Wu claiming that, "someone reported Wu." The perpetrators violently ransacked Wu's home. Wu is currently in the Acheng Detention Center.
