1. Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Yuzhuan demands lawless police officers be brought to justice after enduring two years of illegal detention in a forced labor camp

My name is Li Yuzhuan and I am 65 years old. Before I retired, I was the vice-president of the Workers' Union and head of the Creative and Editing Division of Jilin City People's Art Museum.

All of my illnesses disappeared three months after I started practicing Falun Gong. On January 16, 2000 [Chinese lunar calendar], I went to a fellow practitioner's home to share experiences and was illegally arrested by police officers from Changyi Police Department. They held me for seven days. On November 24, 2000, three practitioners including me went to No. 45 Longdong to look for someone. Four or five waiting police officers from the Yushugou Police Station, the Longtan Police Department, blocked us right after we entered the door. They took us to the police station where they tortured us and told us to admit we were organizing an illegal activity. The head of the police station stripped practitioner Zhang Shousheng of all clothes, poured water on him and opened the windows and the door. It was --20 degrees Celsius outside. He was forced to stand there from around 3:00 a.m. to 5 a.m. and almost froze to death. Later, they illegally sentenced us to two years of forced labor, accusing us of "disturbing the social order." I wrote three appeal letters during the two years I was held at the labor camp but received no response.

2. Five Falun Gong practitioners and employees from the Jiangan Vehicle Factory in Wuhan abducted and sent to a brainwashing class

On September 8, 2004, Li Yingjie, a perpetrator from the Jiangan District "610 Office" in Wuhan City ordered the security officers from Jiangan Vehicle Factory to abduct Falun Gong practitioners Zou Changqing, He Xiuhong, and Wu Dandan from work and send them to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiangan District.

On November 30, 2004, perpetrators from Wuhan City's "610 Office" barged into the Jiangan Vehicle Factory Employees' Hospital and abducted doctor Zhang Changming and nurse Tang Shuhui, both of whom are Falun Gong practitioners. Tang Shuhui resisted the illegal act, and someone slashed her hand with a sharp object; it bled profusely. They didn't treat her hand and took both practitioners to the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center. So far, the practitioners' families have not received any notice regarding their loved ones' whereabouts. The brainwashing center is where the perpetrators abuse the practitioners physically and mentally in an effort to make them betray their faith and give up Falun Gong.
