Spain: Calling for an End to the Persecution on World Human Rights Day (Photos)

On World Human Rights Day, Spanish practitioners went to the main street in the center of Madrid to raise awareness about the campaign of persecution that has been waged against Falun Gong practitioners in China for the last five years. They distributed flyers to passers-by and talked to them about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong. Though many Spanish people had already heard something about the persecution taking place in China, they were shocked at the sight of all those photos about the brutal persecution. It was beyond their imagination that such a brutal persecution which is violating basic human rights and against humanity could happen in China today.

Upon seeing the photos of the cruel torture being used in China to force Falun Gong practitioners to betray their conscience and renounce their belief, people were shocked and outraged. To show their support for the Falun Gong practitioners, many people signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

People signed the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners one after another. A Professor of Legal Studies stated that he would take this incident as a subject matter for his studies, so as to help his students and co-workers to know about the ongoing persecution in China.

A psychiatrist told the practitioners that he knew that cruel torture was still happening in China. He also expressed that as the chief editor of a medical journal, he would like to help Falun Gong practitioners by reporting the benefits Falun Gong might have to the human body and mind, as well as the persecution it has suffered in China.

Some Chinese people passing by had some doubts about Falun Gong, because they were deceived by the Jiang faction's lies. As the former head of China, Jiang went to great lengths to hide the truth. Practitioners explained the facts to them one after another and patiently answered their questions. Some of them told us, "With your explanation, I finally understand the facts. I believe what you just said. Thank you." Seeing them off, practitioners reminded them, "Bear in mind that Falun Gong is good!" They smiled and replied, "Got it! Falun Gong is good. In fact, we will practice it later on."
