Brutally Beaten by Police, Ms. Yang Xinglan Is Now Blind and Critically Ill

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yang Xinglan, 42 years old, is from Beiyang Village in Boye County, Baoding City, Hebei Province. She was made blind in both eyes as a result of being beaten up severely by the police. Now she is critically ill.

Ms. Yang Xinglan obtained the Fa in January 1996. She has been persecuted many times because she is determined in her belief. In July 2002, a dozen people from the village broke into her house and took away Master's pictures. She was arrested and sent to the Boye Brainwashing Center, where she was handcuffed. The police unlocked the handcuffs only when she was eating or needed to the washroom.

One night policewoman Wang Jihua came to Yang Xinghua's cell and tried to force her to give up her belief and to defame Dafa. Ms. Yang refused, so Wang Jihua punched her against the opposite wall with one blow. She also punched Ms. Yang in the face and mouth. As a result, Ms. Yang vomited blood and could not eat. The next day Ms. Yang was sent to Zuozhou Brainwashing Center to be persecuted further. She continued to vomit blood and was still unable to consume any food. Two weeks later she was released after being fined over five thousand yuan. Her family sent her to the hospital and spent over ten thousand yuan on medical expenses for an operation, but she still did not recover. Now her face and eyes are swollen and bruised. She is blind in both eyes and in critical condition.

Before July 20, 1999, she was very healthy and did all the jobs inside and outside her family home. Her parents-in-law and her neighbours all say she is a very good person.
