Ms. Shang Junxiu from Shiyan City, Hubei Province Dies from Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shang Junxiu died on September 1, 2004 after constant harassment by the police and her employer. She was from Shiyan City, Hubei Province.

Ms. Shang Junxiu, 54, was retired from the Shiyan City Retail Outlet. She suffered numerous illnesses in the past, but all her illnesses disappeared after she started practicing Falun Dafa. At the end of October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested. After being taken back, she was tortured by the local police. She was unlawfully held at Shiyan City No. 1 Detention Center for almost two months, where her health rapidly deteriorated. She was not released until the police extorted 6,000 yuan from her family. Bai Shiju, the head of the retail outlet where she had worked, officials of the city's 610 Office, and local police officers constantly harassed and intimidated her. Her health continued to decline. Early in 2002, Bai Shiju conspired with the 610 Office to abduct her and take her to the Xiajiadian Brainwashing Center in Shiyan City for persecution. After she returned, she remained under intensive surveillance and was constantly harassed by security officials under the direction of Bai Shiju. Ms. Shang Junxiu died on September 1, 2004.
