(Clearwisdom.net) More and more people have come to know the truth about Falun Gong as a result of cable TV signal interceptions in China discussing and spreading the facts to the public. This is one of the biggest and most gratifying events since the first cable TV signal interception took place over two years ago.

At 8 p.m. November 20, 2004, the Beijing satellite TV system was tapped into and broadcasted a documentary video entitled "Between Heaven and Earth". Viewers in different areas reported seeing varying lengths of the video, from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. Many people finally understood that the staged self-immolation in Tiananmen Square was masterminded by Jiang's faction to frame Falun Dafa and its founder, and to deceive the Chinese people. After seeing the truth clarification video, some viewers told others, "Jiang took away people's right to tell the truth. It was despicable for the Party to cover up the truth," and "Falun Gong is amazing."

During the last two years, in many areas, including Changchun, Hebei, Sichuan and Beijing, TV systems were tapped into and truth clarification videos were broadcasted. The initial TV signal interception took place on March 5, 2002. Practitioner Mr. Liu Chengjun and his fellow practitioners successfully tapped into 8 channels of Changchun's cable TV network and aired "Falun Dafa Around the World" and "Self-immolation or Staged Event," for about 50 minutes. There were over one million viewers.

After the broadcast, Jiang Zemin ordered to "kill those responsible without pardon" and Luo Gan went to Jilin to arrange further persecution and issue a "shoot to kill" order. In Changchun, 6000 riot police conducted a large-scale manhunt and arrested more than 5000 practitioners. At least 8 practitioners were tortured to death for their suspected involvement in the TV broadcast, and 15 others were sentenced to 4 to 20 years in prison.

Liu Chengjun was shot in one leg during his arrest. Police tortured him by beating him brutally with wood batons, tying him on "Tiger bench" for 52 days, handcuffing him on a "Dead person's bed" and breaking his leg. After being tortured for one year and 9 months, Liu Chengjun died on December 26, 2003 at the age of 32. To cover up their crimes, police cremated his remains at 10 am that same morning despite his family's objections.

The above picture provided by China News Net on April 1, 2002 shows that Liu Chengjun didn't even have enough strength to keep his natural sitting position after severe torture. This picture was published by a website that typically downplays the Jiang regime's brutality. It's likely that Liu Chengjun's torture was even more severe than the picture could express.

Practitioners Mr. Liu Haibo, Mr. Liu Yi, Mr. Hou Mingkai, Ms. Li Ying, Ms. Li Shuqin, Ms. Shen Jianli (a teacher from Department of Mathematics, Jilin University) and a male practitioner over 30 years old were tortured to death for their alleged involvement in the TV signal interception.

Amnesty International issued an urgent call on March 15 and April 11, 2002 to take immediate action to save the lives of the Changchun Falun Gong practitioners.

Practitioner Mr. Cheng Fengxiang from Hebei Province was sentenced to eleven years in prison for his role in helping to broadcast the truth about Falun Dafa on Chinese television. In protest, Cheng Fengxiang started a hunger strike, which has continued for over 150 days. He now suffers from back and chest pain, ice-cold hands and feet, and abnormal kidney, heart, and stomach functions. With serious dehydration and an inability to absorb the force-fed nutrients, he is now on the verge of death.

Why is Jiang's faction so afraid that the truth about Falun Gong will become known? Why does Jiang's faction block the truth with all the state machinery, and imprison or kill Falun Gong practitioners who tap into TV signals?

Practitioners continuously clarify the truth and peacefully resist the persecution, which is not what Jiang expected when he initiated the persecution and attempted to eradicate Falun Gong within three months. Facing the brutal persecution, Falun Gong has not been eliminated, but exists today with unprecedented rationality, steadfastness, and peacefulness. The principle of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" that Falun Gong practitioners follow have been spread to more people. For Jiang's faction, the more people know the truth, the harder it is to sustain the persecution, and the nearer his faction is to its end. Therefore, blocking the truth is the Jiang faction's lifeline. Accordingly, the persecution is more brutal for those who intercept TV signals.

However, the truth about Falun Gong is spread through various effective ways. The people viewing the documentary video were surprised and pleased to tell others, as it awakened their conscience. For the sake of this precious conscience, Falun Gong practitioners are risking their lives to give people the opportunity to learn the truth.
