Some Information about the Children of Ms. Li Rong and Ms. Li Li, Two Practitioners Who Were Tortured to Death

Son of Ms. Li Rong, a practitioner from Changchun City who was tortured to death

Qi Chenglin, whose nickname is Meng Meng, was born in December 1993. Chenglin is now 10 years old and attending the fifth grade. Qi's mother, Li Rong, went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa in November 1999. After this, she was sentenced to a year of forced labor. Once this sentence was completed, Li Rong was detained for another 40 days in the labor camp. In March of 2002, Li Rong was tortured to death. After his mother's death, Qi Chenglin lived with his father, who had help from Qi Chenglin's grandparents.

Li Li was a resident in Lishu County, Jilin Province. Her son Zhu Junyu is 13 years old. Junyu is living in the Number 5 Group, Fenghewei, Dongguang Village, Lishu Town, Lishu County. He is a sixth grader at the Number 2 Primary School in Lishu Town. Since his father remarried, Zhu Junyu has lived with his fraternal grandparents, who are getting by on their pensions.

Practitioner Li Li started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. In January 2001, Li Li went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong for a second time. Afterwards, Li Li stayed in Beijing to clarify the truth to people. In August of 2001, the police arrested her illegally and detained her in the Fangshan Detention Center in Beijing. During her detention there, Li Li went on a hunger strike for nearly four months. The persecutors detained and brutally tortured her in the detention center for six months, finally causing her death on February 1, 2002.
