Huang Dehua, a Zhongshan University Student, Tortured to Mental Breakdown at the First Labor Camp of Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Huang Dehua, in his twenties, was a third year
student at Zhongshan University in Guangdong Province. His hometown is the City
of Harbin in Heilongjiang Province. Huang Dehua was unlawfully detained at the
First Labor Camp of Guangzhou because he practiced Falun Gong. He sustained
brutal torture at the labor camp. Please refer to the article "Atrocities in the First Labor Camp of
Guangzhou City: Tying Practitioners into a Ball and Suspend Them on a Metal
Hook" for more information about the torture practitioners suffered at this
labor camp. (See http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/12/26/43494.html) In September of 2002, He Guichao and Li Weicheng from the First Labor Camp of
Guangzhou, along with policemen from the Chatou Labor Camp, went to Beijing
Tuanhe Labor Camp to study and "experience" the methods used to
transform Falun Gong practitioners. When they returned they couldn't wait to put
into practice what they had learned from the Beijing police, using the brutal
methods of torture to force practitioners to relinquish their belief in Falun
Gong. What was originally a study room was quickly changed into the so-called
"dark room." Just like that, brutal, life-ending tortures were
inflicted upon every determined practitioner in this dark room. In October 2002 when Huang Dehua was taken to the "dark room," the
police did not allow him to sleep for many nights and even taped his mouth shut,
until the area around his mouth started to fester from the tape. The above photo shows the barracks for the 2nd regiment policemen.
The 2nd floor is the office. The enclosed rooms where practitioners
are tortured is on the first floor. The first time Huang Dehua was taken to the dark room for torture, he could
not endure the punishment and signed the Three Statements under great duress.
The next day he recognized that he had made a mistake and immediately wrote a
solemn declaration that his previous signature was null and void. That same day
he was locked into the confinement room and underwent even more severe
persecution and torture. The next time Huang Dehua was seen, he was in the state of a mental collapse.
His wrists and heels had huge black blood marks around 3 to 4 cm in diameter.
His hands and feet shook nonstop, and his breathing was labored. Later, people occasionally saw the criminal inmate Cui Yucai, who was
assigned to monitor Huang Dehua, take Huang Dehua out into the sun to play some
basketball. By this time, however, Huang Dehua was already mentally unstable,
his eyes staring straight ahead and not even looking at the ball. His sister
eventually took him out of the labor camp, but his current whereabouts and
condition are unknown. Persons responsible for Huang Dehua's torture: Former labor camp director: Zhou Yangbo Instructor of Brigade Two: Li Guoming Guards: Bi Dejun, Chen Fumin, Hong Yuanpeng, Li Weicheng (who was responsible
for forcing practitioners to write the "Three Statements") Deputy Captain: He Guichao (who was responsible for brainwashing
practitioners) Criminal detainees who beat practitioners: Wang Feng, Cui Yucai, Jiang Yong |
