Taiwan practitioners really care about the little boy Taotao, so they called and asked about his situation. The following are some facts that Taiwan practitioners have found out.

Taotao is only five years old this year. He used to be a lovely, lively and bright boy, and he is the treasure of his parents. His father's name is Li Zaimin, and is a teacher that everyone respects. His mother, A Ying, is virtuous and kind. She worked in a store and lived in Mazhang District of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. His family used to lead a happy life.

Zaimin and A Ying started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, and strived to become better and better people by following the principals of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth-Compassion-Tolerance). However, under the persecution of Jiang Zemin's regime, many kind Chinese people in China were deceived by Jiang's lies defaming Falun Gong. Zaimin and his wife were not afraid and distributed Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. At around 5:00 p.m. on July 23, 2004, the couple was arrested. One was arrested at home and the other outside. They are being held at the Mazhang District Police Department in Zhanjiang City. Five-year-old Taotao was deprived of his parents' love and care, and suffered terribly from the separation from his parents.

Because his parents were arrested, poor Taotao had no place to stay but with his grandma, who is over 80 years old, and lives in Baini Village in Shijing Town of Lianjiang City. Since his grandma is old and a little deaf, she doesn't have the ability to care for either of them properly. So the boy and his grandma could only count on some kind-hearted people in the village to give them some food and life necessities, and they lead a very difficult life.

The life for people in the village is already difficult, but now they need to take care of 'someone else's child. However, those simple and kind villagers told me in very sincere, calm and touching words, "They are having a hard time, and we should help each other." Villagers also told me that Zaimin and his wife were very nice people. Every time they came back to their hometown from the city, they were very polite to everyone and cared about other people, helping villagers understand the principles of being good people, following Truth-Compassion-Tolerance, and helping them realize that Jiang is cheating people with lies.

The elderly mother of Zaimin missed her son and daughter-in-law, so she went to many places to borrow money for travel expenses, and begged a villager to go visit her son and daughter-in-law. The villager invited a policeman to dinner through an acquaintance's connection, and was then able to visit Zaimin and his wife, who he had not seen for a long time. When the villager returned, he told the grandma that Zaimin and his wife were detained at the police department and forced to make toys. The environment was very poor, so their bodies were extremely weak and Zaimin had grown a long beard.

He added that police tried to force them to admit that they were leaders of Falun Gong, and also to confess the identities of other practitioners. Zaimin and his wife firmly believe in Master Li and Dafa, and they refused to give in. Acquaintances in the police department told the villager that a lot of money, tens of thousands yuan, was needed to bail the couple out. This really added to the grandma's misfortune.

Poor Taotao is now living alone with his grandma. He often asks in tears, "When can my dad and mom come back?" As he cries for his mom, his laments often make his grandma burst into tears, and his neighbors sad and heart-broken. This is yet another tragedy caused by Jiang's regime - a man-made disaster that could have been avoided.

We appeal to all kind-hearted people around the world to care about Zaimin's family, wishing them to be united as soon as possible, with hope that 5-year-old Taotao can go back to his parents again!
