(Clearwisdom.net) To introduce Falun Gong to people who seek physical
and mental well-being, and also for the sake of calling on more people to help
stop the persecution against the practice in China, a group of practitioners
from Gothenburg and nearby cities attended the Way of Life and Health Expo. This
expo, held in the Gothenburg Town Hall on the 4th and 5th December, promoted
healthy ways of living and helped people to understand the concepts of mind,
body and spirit merged together as one.
Signing the petition to call for an end to the persecution
The Falun Gong display attracted lots of people, and many people
came to the booth one after another to sign a petition calling for an end to the
persecution. Many of them already knew a little about Falun Gong and the human
rights abuses against people who practice in China.
In front of the Falun Gong booth, one practitioner who is usually very busy
in other projects to raise awareness about the persecution met many of her old
colleagues and friends who had lost contact with her, as if this place and time
was arranged long ago for the rendezvous.
Clarifying the truth
People who came to find out more stayed quite a while near the Falun Gong
booth. Some of them asked about the present situation in China with genuine
concern. Some discussed the Chinese government's deplorable human rights record
and others asked for details of the exercise classes in Gothenburg where they
could learn the practice for free. A reporter from a local radio station
interviewed a practitioner, mainly about the benefits that Falun Gong can bring
to people's character, as well as the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of
Falun Gong practitioners.
