Falun Dafa Practitioners Forced to Take Unidentified Drug in Lianhua Mountain Village Brainwashing Center, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) A large number of Falun Dafa practitioners in Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province were detained and sent to Lianhua Mountain Village Brainwashing Center. Those detained were forced to receive unnamed drugs, and as a result, they seemed to lose their mental vitality and become absentminded. On September 2, 2004, Zhou Yinzhen, a 57-year old Falun Dafa practitioner and an employee of Foreign Trade, lost her mental alertness after being forced to take the drug and is now unable to take care of herself.

The brainwashing center has been in operation for about half a year. Its funding comes from preying on practitioners' family members and their associated offices, with the amount ranging from 5,000-20,000Yuan. The management of the center coerces practitioners to take an unidentified drug; once it is consumed, the practitioner becomes absentminded, confused, and easily transformed (1).

Additionally, they expect the transformed practitioner to betray 2 or more of their fellow practitioners. They extort money from the practitioner's family by taking advantage of their desire to get their loved one out of the center. The family is compelled to jump through hoops at the center's request before they will release the practitioner who has become absentminded and seriously ill from the persecution.

This way of harassment is praised by the 610 Office and the political and judicial committee of Sichuan Province as a "model," and the 610 Office from other cities such as Nanchong City are gathering here to learn this persecution technique.
